- Judgment (Judge Eyes: Testament of the Shinigami) is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Sega for the PlayStation 4. Initially developed under the codename Project Judge, the game is a spin-off of the Yakuza series. The game was released on December 13, 2018 in Japan, and will be localized for a worldwide release in 2019. It stars Japanese actor Takuya Kimura.

Man, these Amons get crazier and crazier each game. We've had satellite lasers, levitating umbrella magic, an army of exploding house cleaning robots. Now this ones attacking the player directly by screwing with their frame rates.

You know this song pretty much describes every Amon fight, He seems easy at first glance then that music shift after the first few second is when the player discovers how much damage he deals and completely rekts you in seconds.
Don't forget about the second change
Which is when the player learns the gimigc of the spesific amon!
I discovered something fun, if you enter the fight drunk and immediately use the drunk ex move at the start it syncs up perfectly.

Well, it might be alluding to the fact that this is the 14th Yakuza series game released at this point (counting the spin-offs, PSP exclusive Kurohyou 1 and 2, Samurai games Kenzan and Ishin, and Of the END, or more commonly known as Dead Souls).

@@quincylejeune7920 it can last pretty well if you upgraded your item capacity then stock up big and medium med bag. Shin in second and third phase isn't that dangerous once you figured out his trick of corresponding color (spoiler: same color means extremely less damage taken for you)
@@mrvngaming Plus it fills up your EX Gauge and heals you a bit (I think), which is very nice of him to do.
@@Gamer88334 That being said, once he gets a shield, you'll have to use the opposite style to do any meaningful damage, or use a heat action to temporarily disable it.
@@ethanedwards3357 Let's not forget that he also eventually becomes immune to EX moves. And while you might not do as much damage when using the same style as him while his shield's up, it's better to just use the style he's using since his attacks double as ranged attacks and, well, there's a reason why people joke about him breaking the fourth wall during the fight.
Yo ,who the fuck is this guy ? As judgment being my first game of the saga, I haven't faced the others yet, but damn this guy is fucking annoying. Hope next time I beat him, but the frame rates though...😂😂 My ps4 needs some rest after these first few tries. Also that first phase, I found out using the throw extract is just too good. And the music is awesome 😆
This theme is hilariously dramatic for literally no reason but it's so good.
Shin Amon's god like ability to drop your frame rate is enough to make this theme sound so dramatic and almost angelic

Shin's fight is the most fun, the only enemy that style change against you up to date. So it is Dramatic for a very good reason
They could just put this exact theme to Shin's fight in 7 and it would still work massively
I honestly think swapping them would fight a bit better
Honestly the Y7 fits pretty well for it being a turn based and much more reliant on calculated moves than twitch reflexes (outside of the Perfect Guards).

This theme is honestly the most grandiose amon theme in the series. Well, no surprise coming from the person who can cause reality to lose it's framerates
2:09 that note is what makes this piece so fantastic. I'm no music theory expert but is something related to major to minor key change or simply a dissonant note of the same scale.

Nah that's the best part. They're normal assassins, just powered up by an unmatched hatred for Kiryu
Sango Amon in his final phase in Yakuza 5 uses Tendo’s (a literal god) floating and moveset as well as magic umbrellas, and then Jo Amon right after also uses magic umbrellas, so even if the Amon aren’t gods, their powerlevel is pretty darn close.
honestly, even though it'll never happen, i'd love a spin-off game, or maybe even DLC for any of these games where you get to play as the amons and see what they get up to when they aren't desperately trying to annihilate our fav protags.

I played this fight today. I actually did this after Lost Judgment's Amon, so I went Juzo > Shin.
I can say that Shin was definitely way harder. Juzo was hard at first but after I got the hang of it I was able to beat him after about an hour. Shin Amon literally took me 6 hours of retries and observing every move he made so I knew how to counter/evade said moves. Felt so damn good to finally beat him at the end. I didn't even rage from all the deaths I got, it's honestly a really great fight and I enjoyed the experience of it.
Took me 30 mins to crack him on legend difficulty. I was just way too dumb to see his barrier
Juzo is the only fight this series that has ever felt completely impossible for my skill level. At least impossible without extracts and without healing mid fight, which is how I did all the other fights

Bought it last week for XSX and after yesterday finally defeated Shin. Several attempts to not let him steal my phone and after he couldn't do it, it was a walk in the park ;D

Yes.
I think there's a great double meaning to it too. Yakuza 1,2,3,5,6,0. Thats 7(jo/so) fights. Then 4 in yakuza 4. Then kiwami/kiwami 2 is 13. So this is the 14th Amon fight too, excluding fist of the north star.
Wasn't Yakuza 5... 5 Amon fights, counting Noa? My own calculation was Yakuza 1-6, not counting 0 or spinoffs that aren't Judgment. It also works if you count every game in the series: Yakuza 1-6, Kiwami 1 and 2, 0, Dead Souls, Ishin, Kenzan and FotNS if I'm not missing any. This would also make it the 14th in this count. They referenced it quite well.

That's the only way i can describe this song. But don't get me wrong, this is one of the best theme in judgment
I think I might actually prefer this over Fiercest Warrior (Kiwami 1 still has my favorite version of that, though). Hard to say! I _can_ say that I definitely preferred this fight over most of them. It was an actual puzzle boss that utilized both of Yagami's fighting styles, and forced you to adapt on the fly. Instead of just "Hurr look at all this bullshit, have fun dodging it!"
Skipping the first phase by out DPSing him and being able to keep your phone for phase 2 certainly made things easier, too.
Didnt even think of changing styles. I beat him purely in Tiger. Had to go through like 6 medium med kits and alot of swearing through the blue phase. Now im wondering how much easier life would have been if I thought about changing.
I still think ver.6 is the best. This is amazing but ver.6 just has that feel to it
@@Darklusterangel That's really impressive. Although I guess after some tries you could beat him in Tiger. If you stayed in Crane style though, you'd definitely get killed instantly once Shin's red phase starts.
