I think that's one thing I like about them. They can be very, very talented at what they do, and instead of letting it get to their heads, they still insist that they have room to improve. I try to avoid drama as much as possible, but this is just… If these “VTubers” can’t produce content and just spend their whole “career” tweeting and spreading toxicity… what’s the point? I did my own art, learned to rig, wrote my own music, and did it all for free. Took me about two months, but that’s because I’m slow. I upload daily now. What excuse do these people have to be “tba” after years of just tweeting out violence and toxicity? How can they call themselves “VTubers” if they don’t have any content? I’d say put your money where your mouth is, but you don’t even need money to start. I sure didn’t.
This is my assumption and opinion. They do it because they know they can get the basic simps who just like the anime model to give them things without needing to do anything else. It's easy living when all they have to do it make a few "test runs"

I actually never noticed the bad apples at all until the nux drama. Then I started paying attention and especially to more of what Rev covered in terms of the bad takes people had. Like vtubers were like my oasis from the insanity that way to many regular streamers get into especially when they start meeting each other or their chats try to start crap. But then that drama happened and unfortunately the curtain was raised on the back ground drama of vtubing. And then because I watch rev and occasionally scroll thru Twitter the pure insanity that I can come across just gives me a head ache.
These select vtubers who use twitter like this play their "online character" like a double sided sword and are so toxic. (One side is sharpened to attack others, while the other side is dull to victimize themselves). Pretty two faced if you ask me.

The thing about internet addicts is that they don't see strangers like humans. They don't show them the basic level of respect a stranger deserves, nor do they even attempt to keep their expectations on point when meeting new people. They can't imagine that a username is linked to an actual person behind a computer or a phone, they believe internet strangers are some kind of good/evil entities floating around for them to admire/hate. The thing is, the only thing separating a stranger from an online friendly acquaintance, is just a bit of good old talk and mutual respect.

I will say Zaion made a lot of mistakes in her short career. I will also say it was the fault of management for not managing her and trapping her into the position she was in. I would say Zaion's downfall was 80% NijiEN vs. 20% Zaion. Without someone to manage Zaion while also pushing her into a corner, it was pretty much expected that she would have to change everything to make it work and considering she's expected to stream every day, that was a borderline impossible feat.Zaion went in with a plan of how she was going to do things, she knew what worked, but NijiEN rejected every plan she had AFTER she had joined the company even though she basically listed her plans before she joined. Zaion made mistakes, but that will happen as she was Indie for over a year. The transition is bumpy. Heck, when I first started my career, I made a ton of mistakes but my supervisor saw potential in me and to this day, I am still employed with the company. I can sympathize with Zaion in that respect. Maybe Zaion is better off Indie, but even then, I'm sure she could have made it in NijiEN if the company would have given her the respect she deserved. As for the main topic, vtubers should not get involved with these sorts of dramas in the first place. It tarnished Finana's reputation and it will tarnish other vtuber's reputations as well. It is a bad look all around. I mean, just imagine if Hololive shittalk Rushia as she was being terminated? It would have tarnished their reputations. I will admit, I was put off by how cold Hololive was to the whole Rushia drama, but seeing how it was employed in Zaion's drama, I can really see now why Hololive basically stayed Silent on her fall from grace and it was a good decision overall. Even if it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Honestly I'm sick and tired of this community. When I started Vtubing, I did not expect to be surrounded by the thing I hate most (antis). It's hard to make genuine connections in the community without feeling like you need to watch yourself every step of the way. I quit following Vtubers without checking their page with certain terms. Back in Oct/Nov I had to unfollow/block so many people over that Loli Smash or Pass post. It was exhausting and honestly destroyed my mental health to the point that I rarely participate in the community let alone stream regularly. The Hogwarts game stuff was also exhausting. Especially knowing that it originally started as a peaceful protest against playing the game for individuals. It was supposed to be your choice. Not a witchhunt. As someone under the trans umbrella and has several trans friends... we were just so disappointed. Even several of us wanted to play the game. HP is a part of our lives and played a huge role in our childhood. No one should be demonized for wanting to relive it and they shouldn't be expected to jump through hoops to play the game in a more "ethically" way. (Like pirating or donating a huge amount of money to causes.) Not everyone can do that. Even today while scrolling through Twitter, despite not following many Vtubers, my feed gets flooded with them. It's always drama... everywhere. People getting canceled for absurd shit that doesn't really matter. Not always about fiction, but usually it is. It's so disappointing that people can't separate fiction from reality. Just let other's enjoy what they want. Block/mute like a normal person. Curate your own online experience properly. I hate that all this anti shit sometimes feels like the new norm. It's not just in Vtubing community. It's super prevalent in the art community and fandoms. For the first vtuber, I remember seeing a little drama between her and a vtuber/artist I liked, regarding her stealing several aspects of other vtuber’s designs. This is just regular human behaviour, use people to their own advantage and if "betrayal" (that term is used loosely as how can someone betray someone or something they never cared about) ever becomes more beneficial they do so the picosecond it benefits them. I actually never noticed the bad apples at all until the nux drama. Then I started paying attention and especially to more of what Rev covered in terms of the bad takes people had. Like vtubers were like my oasis from the insanity that way to many regular streamers get into especially when they start meeting each other or their chats try to start crap.
But then that drama happened and unfortunately the curtain was raised on the back ground drama of vtubing. And then because I watch rev and occasionally scroll thru Twitter the pure insanity that I can come across just gives me a head ache.

I will say Zaion made a lot of mistakes in her short career.
I will also say it was the fault of management for not managing her and trapping her into the position she was in. I would say Zaion's downfall was 80% NijiEN vs. 20% Zaion. Without someone to manage Zaion while also pushing her into a corner, it was pretty much expected that she would have to change everything to make it work and considering she's expected to stream every day, that was a borderline impossible feat.Zaion went in with a plan of how she was going to do things, she knew what worked, but NijiEN rejected every plan she had AFTER she had joined the company even though she basically listed her plans before she joined. Zaion made mistakes, but that will happen as she was Indie for over a year. The transition is bumpy. Heck, when I first started my career, I made a ton of mistakes but my supervisor saw potential in me and to this day, I am still employed with the company. I can sympathize with Zaion in that respect. Maybe Zaion is better off Indie, but even then, I'm sure she could have made it in NijiEN if the company would have given her the respect she deserved.
As for the main topic, vtubers should not get involved with these sorts of dramas in the first place. It tarnished Finana's reputation and it will tarnish other vtuber's reputations as well. It is a bad look all around. I mean, just imagine if Hololive shittalk Rushia as she was being terminated? It would have tarnished their reputations. I will admit, I was put off by how cold Hololive was to the whole Rushia drama, but seeing how it was employed in Zaion's drama, I can really see now why Hololive basically stayed Silent on her fall from grace and it was a good decision overall. Even if it left a bad taste in my mouth.
A couple of them did shit-talk Mikeneko. Flare and Fubuki laughed about her suicide attempt just a couple hours after she was fired-needless to say, I no longer view those two as respectable content creators because of the way they acted. All they had to do was shut the fuck up like Watame did, who was sitting right next to them.

Zaion came out with her side of the story. When she was released, we didn't have her side and honestly, I doubted we ever would. Honestly I'm sick and tired of this community. When I started Vtubing, I did not expect to be surrounded by the thing I hate most (antis). It's hard to make genuine connections in the community without feeling like you need to watch yourself every step of the way. I quit following Vtubers without checking their page with certain terms.
Back in Oct/Nov I had to unfollow/block so many people over that Loli Smash or Pass post. It was exhausting and honestly destroyed my mental health to the point that I rarely participate in the community let alone stream regularly.
The Hogwarts game stuff was also exhausting. Especially knowing that it originally started as a peaceful protest against playing the game for individuals. It was supposed to be your choice. Not a witchhunt. As someone under the trans umbrella and has several trans friends... we were just so disappointed. Even several of us wanted to play the game. HP is a part of our lives and played a huge role in our childhood. No one should be demonized for wanting to relive it and they shouldn't be expected to jump through hoops to play the game in a more "ethically" way. (Like pirating or donating a huge amount of money to causes.) Not everyone can do that.
Even today while scrolling through Twitter, despite not following many Vtubers, my feed gets flooded with them. It's always drama... everywhere. People getting canceled for absurd shit that doesn't really matter. Not always about fiction, but usually it is. It's so disappointing that people can't separate fiction from reality. Just let other's enjoy what they want. Block/mute like a normal person. Curate your own online experience properly. I hate that all this anti shit sometimes feels like the new norm. It's not just in Vtubing community. It's super prevalent in the art community and fandoms. Makes me sometimes wish I didn't want to be an artist or Vtuber. Obviously I won't let that stop me, but it is scary sometimes.

I'm wondering when you are going to break out the news desk, the professional succubus outfit, and have your vtuber wife join you for news style show.
I don't respect their disgust over loli/shota. I disrespect it because it's just them being unable to separate 2 distinct things in this instance, and then using that as a poor excuse to harass and libel others over cartoon drawings. What deserves respect is people who can appreciate loli/shota designs because those designs _are_ super cute and I myself love cute aesthetics myself. It's cultured. I like a large variety of designs and character styles and am happy that loli/shota character designs are a staple among them in popular works. I have no desire to pretend otherwise because of these adult children (or actual children who lie about their age because let's be real, it's pretty common on Twitter).
Western vtubers when too much liberty and freedom
For the first vtuber, I remember seeing a little drama between her and a vtuber/artist I liked, regarding her stealing several aspects of other vtuber’s designs. Unfortunately, a lot of people sided with the vtweeter, despite the vtuber I followed displaying so much evidence against her, even overlaying designs and silhouettes.
It was only twittards who literally made being a pdf and a lolicon the same. When being a lolicon is just someone who likes the character and designs of a " FICTIONAL " character so why not be pissed at " ACTUAL " pdf huh

RIP I follow the vtuber at 15:05, had a feeling she'd appear in a video of yours. She did actually debut in autumn 2021, streamed a few times and then stopped (I forget why). I've somehow missed all her harassment of others despite following her since 2021. One thing is for sure, she has been really struggling with her mental health these past few years, going on and then coming off anti-depressants.
Who is she?
Maybe it just mean that all the harassment unhingely are come from result of her mental problems?

You know, it would be better for them to just shut up if they are actually a dumbass. Because the reason why Twitter are infested with these freaks and roaches is because they don't bother to do research and study in order to gain knowledge. Sure, they can love and hate, they can agree and disagree but at least, they need to be honest, self-aware(like you said), and professional(if it's a Vtuber in that case) about it rather than crying and complaining over something so small while doing so to keep fueling the fire. It's just funny that whenever I see people that think they are the greatest person ever lived, turns out to be the worst(I used to think that way before.) while the ones that always think of themselves as a shitty person, turns out to be good. Though it varies or differs depending on the individual.
