For years it was the Delta Force theme on the ABC broadcasts, but just as a few years ago when they had a chance to broadcast NASCAR again and stepped up further from instrumentals of metallica, they found excellent musicianship to forge from scratch. Well done indeed!
assetto corsa rss/vrc mods or iracing is the only option imo. but ac dones't have strong online community other than private leagues. iracing on the other hand isn't cheap but yeah, i agree. indycar racing simulator withsomething of assetto corsa rss physics would be epic!
IndyCar is truly amazing and it’s way better than NASCAR hands-down. This theme makes you feel so alive in the moment as well which is another thing NBC knocks out of the ballpark.

It's a banger for sure but F1 theme reigns supreme among them all. Regarding IndyCar theme songs, we had (and we still have) some of our own themes here in Brazil as the national broadcasters were kinda free to create their own openings for sports broadcasting so, you guys should absolutely check out the Brazilian IndyCar themes and also the F1 ones as well. Previous theme from 2012-2019 was much better. The one used in 2011 was better also. At least the newer one is better than the original Versus them from 2009.

As a massive fan of circuit races in other racing series, I gotta say the oval racing in IndyCar is epic, it's not just about turning left.
The latest IndyCar race (2023 Texas) might just have been one of the best races in the history of motorsport period.

Enjoy this theme while you can as after this season it is likely going away due to Fox replacing NBC for Indycar coverage beginning next season.
I will miss this theme… but hopefully Fox creates a good theme for their broadcasts!
