i have the surron ultra bee and i drop it a couple times. throttle broke but was a quick install. i didn't even know it had traction control only engine break and reverse. I messed with the setting but never found it. thanks for sharing
Funny this is almost exactly what happened to me my bike was a week old and it shorted one of the fats in the speed controller I had to push the bike home with a basically a locked up tire it would move but just barely thank God I bought it from a reputable dealer and they just swapped out the speed controller for me
@@TudiMPowerService actually I realised this is the ultra bee and not the storm bee. instead of getting a new stock controller you should get a fardriver ND84850 as far as I understand the ultra bee bms is not limited to 12.5kw and is much higher and the controller limits the max KW. and you can get a huge power upgrade with just a different controller as far as I understand.
looks like you hit the throttle and accelerated and then hit the switch to change traction control modes. giving it more power while switching modes, might have arced power or signal between the 2 modes, (both modes at same time) shorting out the controller etc. so i guess you can say, dont switch modes on acceleration, only deceleration and stop until fixed.
Great video. Damn that sucks. how new is your bike? Hopefully you bought it from a reputable seller and they can help under warranty. If not, ebmx x9000 controller or similar?
10 miles, new controller fixed it but, I did not use traction control anymore. I know if someone who owns a ultra bee goes in mode 3 traction control and twists the throttle it can happen again just like the video. I can see a recall using traction control. 🤷♂️
@@TudiMPowerService sorry I meant I bought the bike from the uk from a recommend supplier not the replacement controller, I got that for free under warranty took 2 weeks though but they fixed it for me.
Damn I've been looking into buying one of these, this def is a huge detractor. I wonder if this is inherent to the ultra bee or if its just the stock controller that has this problem 😬
Exactly what I was thinking. How some (kids) people get away with riding even the Light Bee on roads in town is amazing. My small town of 2k I would get pulled over by the State troopers or the sheriff in no time.
The Ultra Bee T got a favourable review in UK Motorcycle News (MCN). But controllers burning out? Not good Maybe the US built Zero has better quality control.
@@MrJohnConstable I own 2 zeros and just sold my third one. The real problem is getting parts for a Zero. It's strange that nobody makes any aftermarket components for them. And I hear horror stories their dealer network
That’s actually really common I grew up in a small village and we sometimes used to drive in a store with regular bikes. Usually nobody cared as long as you don’t damage anything or run people over.

Exactly…controllers on these suck!
Awesome review iv seen so far
how much new controller cost?
It’s 1500, but if you have warranty it’s lower. I paid way less.
@@MotoXdreamz Why you need to pay any? If this is a warranty issue the dealer must repair it for free!

A little too much filler content
Thanks for the advice man I’m always trying to do better video did take months.
Watch out for those feds 🚨
I noticed every one who purchased their ultra bee from alibaba is having this problem
Not I, 180 miles zero issues. It rips
You haven’t used traction control have you?
Not from Alibaba, it’s a traction control issue but I’m not 100% sure, everything is was fine until I used traction control.

What is ets2 ? I think that the ets2 throttle has two hall sensors instead of one , I wonder if this throttle can only be used with the ultra bee🐝 ?

so to avoid this problem you need to torn off traction control every time before start riding?
it’ll stay off when you turn it off

this happened to mine and i was sent a new controller, i bought it from a uk supplier though.

whats the range on a full battery
About 50 miles, it goes a long way because of the 74v 55ah battery.
