Just found this channel from a 2019 halibut run you guys did. I can't wait to get out to area 4 / 5. I only just bought my boat a year ago.. went into the hobby with no knowledge or experience. Spent all 2021 learning every fish almost every weekend, not much success till the end. These kind of videos are what keep me going, awesome seeing a bunch of buds get excited over a HOG. I CANT WAIT FOR 2022!

Right on! I didn't know they had it open for natives then. I fish a lot in area 11 or 13. Ive been dying to get up there and check out the fishery in the straights! Shot in the dark, but what is a productive depth to be running the gear at for kings? From what I've gathered its not necessary to drag bottom like we do further south or mid channel bank!

In the deep water, near a large structure if you can, fish 120 to 180, or even deeper if you have the gear.
