One of my most treasured pieces is my Gathering Dust single by Vaughan Oliver, the graphic designer for almost all of 4AD's heyday output (including, among others, Modern English's After the Snow and Mesh and Lace LPs). He has since passed, but what a lovely, funny, incredibly talented man.
I usually look up music I don't know and listen to it before buying. But sometimes you should just buy music just because the cover looks awesome. That's how you can discover new music. No one does that anymore that's a shame. That's how you could discover new and brilliant music. We use to buy albums because of the covers. I have discovered amazing music because of that. Us Music collectors need to go back to that. But yes online makes it easy to look things up before buying.
The bad brains album cover is beautiful. Have you heard of the punk band The Pist from the 90's. They just released a new album after 20 years, it's great. Also what exterior protection sleeves are you using these days? Do they still make the Blake sleeves? Cheers

I'm half way through the Conroy interview. I loved it. You are good at it. This stuff is not nostalgia, it's a bigger view of how time really passes and an understanding that most artists are greedy assholes, but humans deeply understanding of our condition. I hope you have an interview about Vaughn Oliver legacy, if possible. Not a request, just a mutual interest.

Hi Dereck received your LP of Future Still already and spun it a few times. Sounds fantastic , great quality pressing and appears to be 200 -220 gram I believe , nice and thick LP. Cool cover art as well. Looking forward to some more releases.
