This was so long to read but I’m glad I read it amen brothers and sisters
I’ve struggled with S.H off and on since I was 14 (I’m 24 right now) and although I’ve been clean for 14 months now I’m honestly just thank you this would have been something I needed and listening to this made me feel safe so just ya thank you

I've been struggling with S.H on and off for a few years now and this is just so comforting because I've never heard anyone talk like this about my scars. I just wanted to thank you, this means a lot! I'm almost a month clean, thank you so much for this audio
I'm very happy to hear that this can bring you comfort. S.H is an uphill battle and can feel fruitless at times. But I promise there's a better future for you. I'm incredibly proud of you, a month is an awesome goal! I hope you treat yourself, you deserve it

it's this thing about your audios man. i don't know what it is but it never fails to put me at ease. it's clear that you've put so much thought into this, as your words are so carefully chosen. Not only that, but also the barely noticeable yet soothing background noise, the tone of your voice, the way it smoothly changes and becomes deeper, slower and a tiny bit raspier. it's like you're whispering directly into my ears, making it all go away, just like that.

I'm sorry, but I need to vent and sort some thoughts out real quick. I hope its ok that I do that here..
Sometimes, I don't know how to explain it, but I feel like my scars validate me. When I hear about what other people's scars might look like (like they are longer or deeper than mine are) I start feeling some sort of way because it makes me feel like I am not valid in my problems. So that might send me into a spiral that will make me wane do it again, but worse.
And the only thing that might stop me is how my mom totally made me feel alienated by what she said to me once about it. Like she didn't mean to hurt me, and she said this out of the love she holds for me. and at the same time, I'm glad she said it, because it stops me, but also, it makes me feel like a freak that I even entertain these thoughts and feelings. and this in itself makes me want to do it again too, so it's like it goes full circle. i just need some motivation to not do it again I guess...

You'll never have to apologize for venting your feelings hun, not to me. This is a safe and tight knit community and we're all in it together. I understand how you feel, and you have my condolences. All of mine are hidden within the lines in the palm of my hands, with my hands as rough and aged looking as they are they're hard to notice, sometimes I forget about them. But they're still there, Just as yours are. Remember that pain is not a measurable substance, no one can truly understand nor compare what you've been through as your experiences are your own. At the end of the day we both carry our scars, they don't define us, we define them. So stand proud! As proud as I am of you, that through it all you're still fighting the fight and that you're still giving it your all, even if some days are harder than others. Know that no matter what, rain or shine, easy or hard days. I will always be proud of you, and I will always be here for you! I truly appreciate your honesty and bravery sharing what you have

I didn't actually expect for anyone to care at all or anything. It has definitely been a pretty hard couple days. I relapsed the other night and I'm feeling all these emotions all the time. It's pretty draining I guess. Idk what I'm even saying at this point. But thanks for caring
