Hey Brad, cool videos! You should do more interviews/podcasts kind of videos with people around Fitness street/Bangtao. We have snippets every now and there, but it would be really cool to have longer chats :) (also you could get longer videos and more ads => make the channel more sustainable in longterm => we have more videos )
Hi Brad thank you so much for those video, you have no idea how much they help! I tried reaching out to book the accommodation but had no response so far, hoping they will get back to me soon! Thank you again!
@@nightmaremustang4188 the fitness area where they host the fitness classes has plenty of equipment to do "gym" style workouts. Squat racks, dumbbells, barbells, weight plates, kettlebells etc. I've seen guys and gals deadlifting, pressing, snatching etc in that area when they are not running the fitness classes.
Thinking of attending for a month. But since I will be working I need good high speed internet. Conference calls and video sharing. Which accommodations internet can handle it? Thanks for your content. Will continue to watch.
Arinara Resort - a 2 minute walk from Bangtao gym. Alternatively, just use a Thai sim card (it costs 600 Baht for the first month and 300 baht every month thereafter) and you can just tether to it, which is what I do to upload videos to this channel).
I’m planning a trip over to train at Bangtao similar time next year. Do you think it’s too soon to email regarding a quote or should I look to do so sooner? Appreciate your info and content man! New to your channel and loving it 🙏🏼
@@BradNewton they have also made a slight jump and are now 18.000 a month. But I already booked 3 months with forest bungalow because of your other video!
Perhaps given that Bangtao gym opened up a few months ago gives them the opportunity to charge more than you were quoted. The price will only increase over time (supply/demand)
As a newbie in Mauy Thai, do you think this place is ok or would Tiger be better for beginners? I was looking at Tiger but I love how this is near the gym, any advice?
yep, the Bangtao Muay Thai classes have absolute beginners in them. I am suggesting to everyone to check out Bangtao for 1-2 days (at least) and try it and see what they think. I absolutely had the best time. I originally intended to stay there for 4 nights (to try all the classes, except the MMA), and ended up extending for 1 week. Then I had to leave to extend my visa (which happened yesterday). So I'll be returning to Bangtao in the next couple of weeks!
@@BradNewton Awesome! I think I'll visit Bangtao first and see how it goes, i'll be in Thailand in a couple days and miss the beach/sun lol, is healthy food as easy to come by as fitness street? can you get protein shakes etc near bangtao?
Hi Brad; thanks for your content; I wanted to ask what is the best way to handle currency exchange for Thailand trip? Is it ok to wait until I get in-country to make exchange and/or using ATM’s? Or better to change before trip ? 🙏🏼
Swiping your credit card comes with a 3% surcharge. If you withdraw 10,000 baht from an ATM (it costs 220 baht). Charging 10,000 baht (same amount) on your credit card at 3% would incur a 300 baht fee. If you factor in the international fee your bank would charge you on top of the 220 Baht ATM fee, it would be cheaper to use your credit card anywhere that would allow it.
Today is Nov 16, 2023. ...and the online price they are giving me is $4000.00 Canadian Dollars for 2 weeks... must be an error. Because that is not cheap.

@@BradNewton do they have a regular weight lifting gym or is it just a crossfit type of gym?

Be there on Sunday bro!
Any idea how their shorts fit? They don’t seem to be the traditional Muay Thai sizes/measurements

I would love to go there
Hi Brad, great video 👌
What is it like in July? I'm looking at going this year 🙏
Low season. Training is the same. Personally, my favourite time of year to travel there as it's less crowded.
Hi Brad, off topic but can you give any details insights on physio therapists / healing doctors etc in the area?
I'll be returning to Bangtao in the next few weeks and I'll find out. Sports physios?
The price in the low season is now 25,000 baht per month (excluding electricity) for the people wondering
Big jump! Try Ron's Bungalows.

@@Oktaygun good choice! they are really good. I was thinking of moving back in there next month.
I would need a kitchen I don’t think eating out all the time would go well
Dang Brad! Look at all of these uploads. Well done mate! Don’t burn yourself out!
It's all good :)) I have had most of the week off training so can focus more on catching up on the backlog.
They quoted me over 40 00 BHT for 30 days in November 😅🤷♂️
Really enjoying your content!

Is that the place Bangtao bought up?
They own a different set of hotel rooms on the other side...
Ugh, I really hope the Bangtao classes don't get slammed with people. Do you think it'd affect the quality of the training?
They are currently expanding the gym due to its insane popularity since it opened last year.

ATMs charge 220 bhat on every exchange. So if you get money out get a lot of it at one time

Hey thanks for the video. I receivied an email...is now at 27.000 baht per month
It says £2000 now
£2000 per month? It was 15,000 baht when I made the video...
but dannnn, it doubled. its 30 000 for the month 😭
Contact Bangtao gym directly and see how much their on-site accommodation is...
thanks to video
Does it include the training fee?
(15000baht)
Nope, this is just for accommodation. Training is separate.

That doesn't sound right. That's four times the price they quoted me. I'd stay at Ron's Bungalows.
