This was great
You're always my go to when I have to replace something on my jeep. Great teacher
Went with the same shocks on my project 91 YJ. Thank you so much for the helpful video! I was able to get all four done in a couple of hours. I've learned and used many of your videos to fix my YJ. Keep up the excellent work Dale!
hello, how did the 7.0 hydro's hold up?
Love your videos. Thanks for the info it makes it a lot easier when you watch someone else do the job first. I have a 1991 YJ I’m about to tear down to the frame and rebuild. It will be my first project of this magnitude. Thanks again
My rear shocks from Quadretech have been backordered since April.
Cancel and get another brand..
Yeah. Many brands are having issues because of the craziness going on. Mine took 2 months to arrive.
Great Channel Dale, you definitely have a great future with UA-cam and making very helpful videos.
Thank you
Yea, some day you won’t still be a micro-influencer 😉
Thanks for making this video, I just changed my YJ shocks thanks to you
I was looking at these for my old JK, great instructional video!
They have great reviews!
Been debating about shock choices will have to look at these too. Thanks for the video!!
These have a lot of good reviews. Not bad for the price.
JeepSolid I appreciate the feedback will be heavily considering the 8.0s for my YJ
Went with the same. Was a good choice and didn‘t break the bank 👍
Thanks again for another great video!
Thanks! Sure looks better than old ones. LOL😂
JeepSolid Absolutely 👍 😂
Question , going to put shocks on my 93 YJ , Bilstein speaks for itself. For the cost of the Quadratec shocks may just be the better deal .Jeep has almost 200K .I would be saving almost $200 . Seen both of your videos . What is your overall pick since you had had both on your jeeps?
:) replaced my suspension a few months ago. you have 8.5 minutes showing how to do it; mine was rusted, and rusted and rusted; a total of 20 hours of heating, hammering, grinding and cussing for 4 springs and 4 shocks on my YJ....and it's not even that rusty.
Dang! Yeah. Sometimes it can be a pain. Top nut have me some issues. Contemplated taking cut off wheel too it, but got it after a bit. I think I mentioned that in the video.
Great choice!!!! I put those on my 94 wrangler last year. It’s running a Rancho 2.5” lift with 9000 adjustable ones. The shocks were worn out and bombing the ranch it rode like Sh$t..., the new Hydros are Great shocks for the $$$. It rides so good now.
Do those shocks actually ride well or was it just better then the old ones??
I have RC and they suck..
Nice! The reviews on these are pretty good
Matthew Sipe
I thank they are better quality than my old ones that were made in 96. I’m really happy with them. We use our Jeep on the ranch for tones of chores to running to town to haul 400 pounds of feed every two weeks.
Those springs look tired too. Always good content. Thanks for your videos
Yep! Springs coming soon 👍🏽
I got it for JLU 2.5 can't wait to put em on n see hows gone go
Great job Dale . Those old shocks sure have seen better days, specially the front ones . YIKES !! Take care and be safe my friend .
Thanks! Can’t wait to test them out.
I might pick up
A 7.0
How did you release the lock on the shocks so they expand? Mine were shipped fully compressed and I can't figure out how to extend them.
Update: found out they aren't locked, they just don't expand by themselves like every other shock I've messed with.
Mad that I need new shocks and these are the ones I really want and need yet they are sold out. 😫
I'm thinking about getting this 2.5 liftkit for JLU 2021 any recommendations?
I like the Sesame Street music
Ha! Yeah
Great Video Thank you - what lift height did you go with?
It has 2.5" lift
What about the broken springs?
Coming soon 👍🏽
What size is that top nut that secures the front shock?
Did you figure it out? I'm doing mine in a couple of days and the Jeep is at another house, so was looking to see what size they were so I'm not taking every tool there.
I think it's 14mm. I gave up and took the sawzaw to it.
Stop making it look simple and quick. I might be tempted to try it myself.
How much were all 4
Do it for dale lol. My middle name is dale
I kinda don't like these videos where they don't take a little test drive and give their opinion on the difference between the old shocks and the new.
Why are they a huge upgrade? U never compared that brand to another brand or style. Title should say- Just another shock swap
You spelled *another awesome, detailed shock swap video by Dale* wrong
