You know why it is clean? Wind takes all trash out. However look at all those white dots, those are chewing gum marks. Reykiavik is not clean (at best average city clean), it has free vacum cleaner service for half a year. But is nice place to be anyway.

I see city workers sweeping the streets regularly. Some people litter but most do not. The chewing gum stains are harder to remove however.
Much more graffiti than I would expect. Still a great city….but let’s not overrate it
