Actually all the effects that Yoongi got on his verse were everything but autotune. Of course there is a lil bit of autotune cause there always is, but you can't hear it. In the first part he was speaking so low so you can hear the voice fry. In the second part it was equalized in a way that seemed like a radio, and there was a lil bit of distorsion and a short delay. It was cool anyway 😂😎
'Louder Than Bombs' was co-written with artist Troye Sivan, apart from RM, SUGA, j-Hope and other professional contributors. This song appears to be symbolizing the loudness of bombs to two things: pain and success. In the first chorus, BTS say how they go through a significant suffering, described as breaking louder than bombs. It can depict result or noise of how BTS took pain, fear, hardships as if those are bombs that dropped in the position of their height while moving past them, AND it also denotes having much louder cheer of success and chants of support as they carry on stronger, they're determined to achieve better days and greater things to come their way.
I think it's both for themselves AND army - but ultimately about them finding purpose to keep going, even inbetween the pain in the world and in themselves. And that purpose for them turns out to be army, why they sing, why they try. In the album, ON comes right after this, so I'd say this song is like that spark of meaning and motivation being born inbetween extreme hopelessness and pain, as it usually does. The lyrics "the unfamiliar shadow in the midst of the cheers" is so haunting though, because what they see of army is usually extreme joy and happiness. But what they hear of army, is all the hard times and pain they have went through and are possibly still going through, since that is usually mentioned, to then explain how bts helped them. We know the members themselves have experienced 'silent' pain, as in went through struggles while keeping up a happy face, or actually being happy, just us not knowing what also goes on beneath. But this seems like them realising, that army is the same. And finding strength for themselves in that. Sometimes we need to look at the bigger picture and realize we are part of something bigger than ourselves, and we can be louder than bombs for someone else.
My theory. Louder than Bomb is most probably fall under the shadow section of MOTS:7... so this song can be about BTS's fear of being swallowed by their shadow. Here Jimin said "yeah we pick this game" sound similar to Yoongi in Shadow saying "Smile, what are you hesitating for/ Isn’t it something like this that you wished for/ Or cry, what are you afraid of/ Isn’t it something like this that you wanted/ The life you wished for, the life you wanted/ the life you chose, you achieved everything with no regrets". I think Louder than Bomb and Shadow talk about BTS' fear in particular. Because BTS went from "Louder than Bombs I break" to "say" to "sing"... they end the song with the promise " Whatever night swallows me, I don’t give up/ The fight that is for you, we’ll shine/.../ No matter what kind of waves strike/we will endlessly sing towards you". It feels the victory of Black Swan when Yoongi said "Slowly, I open my eyes/ This is my workroom, my studio/ Even if harsh waves brush against me in the darkness/ I will never get dragged away again"... image of waves, swallowed are common in both songs... thus in my mind both song are connected. Yoongi even said "They say, well, they are jealous of us/ They say the pain I own is hypocrisy/ No matter what I do, I roll in filth"... this comment about what people said to them sound oddly similar to what Yoongi said in UGH "What’s wrong with you getting some hate/ You make bank, why are you whining again/ You should be willing to put up with that bit"... both talks about the malicious side of fame they have to deal with. So I think Louder than Bomb in more about BTS's personal struggle, but just like any BTS song we can interpret it in our own way.
My first impression of the lyrics was that sometimes, the pain they feel are greater than the cheers, hence, "louder than bombs" as in army bombs. Despite always saying things like "lets only see and hear good things", the pain is there and it is valid even if people say it is "hypocritical." But now I think that the lyrics also show persistence and the mindset that they can overcome whatever pain/ difficulty they are experiencing, hence, the second meaning of "louder than bombs" as in THEY are louder than whatever challenges they face.
The members, mainly vocalists, said that is song is way too high for them to perform and it really is high. There's like so much high vocal parts that aren't easy to pull off. That's also a reason why Don't Leave Me was never performed too
ARMY tend to associate every song with their own pain that they didn't even realize that this song is also naked BTS, that's what they feel, the expression they put on isn't always what they're going through at the moment, but they chose to be a part of it, they knew what they were getting into, and as difficult as it is, they're going to continue this not just for them, but for us, and I think they want us to understand that.
This song is from their Album 'Map of the soul :7' and the whole album is basically about themselves. It has solo songs of each members and unit songs that express their feelings about armys their relationship with each others and their struggles to became what they're now and their fear about losing interest in music .This song is also about their stuggles and pain that they went through 7 years .7 is an important number to armys and BTS.💜💜

I think it’s about both world pain or Army’s pain and their pain. I think it starts out talking about Armys pain and that they are here to share but then it became more honest and introspective when they talk about their own pain. That behind their reassurance that they are here for others they also have their own pain. The music is quite atmospheric. I can understand why they may have left it out of past set lists Cos it may bring about a more ominous mood. But the performance of each one of them is amazing. If anyone wants to showcase each members unique qualities in voice and rap style, this is a good song to do that. Love your very honest reaction. Your thumbnail for this song is funny...I thought you didn’t like it from your facial expression. Good click bait...lol!
Hi Hanna. Louder than Bomb is actually a collaboration between BTS and singer/songwriter Troye Sivan. This is one of their underrated songs but very deep in emotions just like Whalien 52. I would really love for them to perform this live. I would probably cry when I listen to it.
I hope everyone realizes JK is backing most of song. He is main vocalist an his job is to back up the other's. I heard a video of just jk voice isolated on most of songs an he is in background singing. AMAZING. I love this song. They all are good.
Louder than bombs is a special, special song for someone I hold dear. Thanks for reacting to it. I love watching your facial expressions whenever J-Hope sings/raps his verses. My thoughts exactly regarding the lyrics. 💜
This song is so haunting .. I think it's about their struggles to get where they are and all the criticism they had to face .. there's a line in the song that says " we chose this game" it's sad though, that at the stage of success there's still sadness
Not joking but literally everytime i cane to know any new(for me) bts songs it makes me craz...i always want to choose favourite song but can't choose one....they are just breaking the songs 💜💜
it's like how i always tell people , BTS sing they story they feeling but for comfort others people , no other artis ever do that , most people sing they story to relief them self for the pain , but BTS mostly make song start with nagetif and finish with positif massage, it's like they tell us "i feel this way and this is how i overcome it " they are truely artis ever existed
They did turn away from Army. Sort of. During 2018 when they wanted to quit. Almost quit. Im glad they didn’t. Thats the time i discover them only to realize thats their breaking point. They wanted to stop For me its their song. Their emotions. Their love for music and love for Army that they have set aside for a while thinking its too much. Too much judgment, too much hate for them, so much pressure. They want to stop. Then they realize it shouldn’t be about haters, not about their personal satisfaction but all this because they are getting love and decided to return the love of Army by producing better songs. I personally love it because it sounded sincere. Its like apology, confession and a promise all combined. Yeah i am one of those who wanted to here this live. I thought they will perform it during Bang Bang Con but i’m still hopeful. I wanted to cry hearing Taehyung sing and Yoongi wrap here
I read it somewhere one army said...louder than bombs is a song BTS sang for BTS ....and I do believe it. Also 'paradise' is another song army wants them to perform and they ignore 😔
This is a song that I would love to see them perform just standing with mics like born singer, let me know, etc. Def. on top of my list of songs I hope to see them perform.
It's my fav song in the album. I cried first time hearing it. Actually may times. I also vote for this one. Looking forward to the concert i hope they sing this live omg. 💜
To me this song is about ARMY and BTS....their recognition of our pain and the fact that many of us rely on them to get us through it, their admission of their own pain, and their promise to nevertheless never ignore or turn away from our pain and to always continue singing for us.
Every time I listen to LTB, I get chills! Literally goosebumps up my spine to the back of my neck. It is a really powerful song and gives a dark vibe... almost haunting effect. Thank you for listening to this for your first time with us. Stay safe.
The whole Map of the Soul series follows psychology with both the ego (happy side, the face you want people to see) and the shadow (the part you want to keep hidden from the world). MOTS:7 (shadow) is them facing their darkness finally accepting it and accepting that not everything is rosey and nice. That the dark and ugly emotions are a part of them too and they must keep going forward. While I think this song is mainly about themselves there is also that element of acknowledgment towards ARMY who have struggled with them through their 7 years of success and all the harshness, unfairness that came with it. BTS has continuously said that them and ARMY are a team and we lean on each other when we need strength, that we walk a similar path. RM also said that when they need inspiration for songs they tend to look at ARMY. In a way I think seeing us in front of them happy but then hearing the hardships on weverse we face also related to them as well. You just have to look on weverse at the members responses to ARMYs struggles that they care and are relating and looking out for us too.
It about the obstacles they had by the haters ( media , Knets, etc )that critized them. Making "fans " getting manipulated to no liking them, or making them so hard to perform or people listen to their music. It's clearly in suga's part: bts , specially suga were critized by saying that they were making money out of mental health so they were hypocrites for that, then suga had said in many interviews after that , that if they don't speak about those issue who will be? So they are saying none of that obstacles matter they are gonna keep singing louder than bombs to get people to listen to them, their message , etc. Louder than bombs is bts accepting one of their shadows ( insecurities , fears ) that's not having fans or people that listen to them which they had talked about before in the song young forever. This song is in the accepting "shadow part " of the map of the soul:7
Everything about LTB is brilliant, the melody, the beat, the lyrics, the vocals, the RAP (Yoongi sounds incredible, I always love his rap of course, but 5e distortion to his voice here just adds another level with that haunting melody), the production…it’s just beautifully haunting, a real masterpiece IMO - one of my favourite BTS tracks. I was also shocked that BTS did not know how beloved this song is to Army 🤷♂️😳 Thank you for reacting to it - I am longing for them to perform it live…💜
Hi, I am back. Nice reaction, ty. Love this song too. It's a top 10 for sure. I love the fact that its such an emotionally raw song. It's stunning beautiful. A live of this would be fab. I think your interpretation is pretty good. I feel like its for them and us. love u. hugs. ---NY USA Army 💜
for me its both about them and us and people in general. i feel like the members are talking to each other and to armys at different points in the song. when i hear this song i picture them performing in many different countries and armys have fun at concerts then when its over bts go to their hotels and turn on the tv and the news there hits them while armys go back to whatever lives theyre living which can be drastically different person to person city to city, country, culture etc idk the song feels like a acknowledgement of pain and a hug but also unsettling too idk how to really explain. its one of my favorite songs though. please react to bts hardships 2013 - 2021 by xceleste
I thiink its a song that recognizes the amount of ugliness thrown at both bts, the members, and army as the popularity and recognition of bts grows globally. The lyrics say that even if ARMY does not speak it, they are aware of the darkness and they know it affects ARMY. They are saying don't be afraid of the hate, its part of the game that they voluntarily decided as a career and ARMY decides as fans, and that their voice and ARMY's voice will be even louder than the hate, and they will always fight with ARMY to speak out. Its a maturation of themselves as artists, as adults, and as individuals, not seeing things through a rose colored lens, acknowledging the shit in the world and still committed to their path that they chose as young men.
The time when BH run a survey for that episode it was chaotic in twitter 😅 there's a tension between louder than bombs & paradise, tho louder than bombs was way louder than paradise while ON & BlackSwan enjoying their popcorn... and Heartbeat losses its heartbeat 😉
the song is mostly talking about themselves, their pain and the promises they are making to themselves imo. the only exception is the promise they make to Army AND themselves "I promise to you and I, whatever wave strikes, we will sing for you endlessly"
Nd the boys were like what!! This song!! Army likes the most!! I was like dude u guys don't know us still😭😭that's a beautiful beautiful song how can they not believe we love it so much! 😑
I do think that they wrote this for ARMYS. It categorizes their love for us and the times that they turned away/ran away could be a number of things suchlike running from sasange fans, having to end concerts and leave fans due to death threats....etc. Then, Louder than Bombs, they sing...Our guys always came back to us ARMYS 💜 BTS +ARMYS 🌎💜=STRONGER TOGETHER &YOUNG FOREVER 💜 BTS is one Dangerous group of sweet talkers💜 don't ever let them close enough to whisper in your ear because they will steal your heart and soul💜💐This has been my favorite song since I became ARMY over 5yrs ago. I can't even count how many times I've listened to it or how many more I am going to 😏💜💐 The Fmv is fabulous and I recommend it highly, it is worth it 💜Thanks for your reviews 💜
Paradise is another song that ARMY wants them to perform live, but BTS acts like it doesn't exist. You'll notice randomly on twitter Paradise will trend and it's worse when there's a vlive. They spam the chat for Paradise and get ignored 🤣. And I totally agree with you that they're talking about themselves in Louder than bombs because it is from map of the soul 7. That whole album is a self analysis on themselves.
I don't think this song would be performed live at all unless they are ready to disband as it is a great send off song. The members already said one time that this song was way too high for them to perform which is why they haven't done it live. It's true if you think about it cause there are alot of high vocal parts that isn't easy to do live and there's a lot of background vocals for a reason too
Yeah, this song is something else! Lyrically and for me especially musically. I think they wore it more about themselves and maybe the pain they had between each other as well)) But I always think that they often write about themselves even when everyone thinks it is just about something else( I just think, you cant make such songs and sing them like they do if there are no personal feelings behind that! )) Like Hobi's Just Dance is a love song to me when for many others it is just about some dance thing.... It is all for the fans to interpret the song in any way they want though))) BTS also wrote it with Troye Sivan and I love his music as well, he gets pretty deep oft
Well about ur thing on concept of the song the concept is kinda not directed to a single thing....its for BOTH BTS AND ARMY...its BTS being open and accepting the darkness of being a celebrity and being the centre of attention and also their aim n positive goal of being that centre of something....They are talking about how they now dunn wanna quit from it just bcz its hard sometimes bcz there was a moment in 2018 where they wanted to quit and were on a long vacation too...here they are saying after love myself campaign they got to know the stories behind those happy faces that they see in concerts, fanmeetings and all...they are saying this " a strange shadow in that cheer"...like its a song for both BTS AND ARMY...BTS NOW WANTS US TO KNOW N TELL THEMSELVES THAT THEY HV A CCEPTED ALL OF THEIR DRAWBACKS OF BEING WHO THEY ARE N KNOW THAT IT IS A PART OF THEM N THEY ARE TELLING US TO NEVER BE AFRAID OF THAT DARKNESS OF OUR LIFE TOO N SOLVE IT...WE CAN DO IT TOGETHER!!!!... AFTER 2018...THE MAP OF THE SOUL SERIES WAS RELEASED IN 2019-2020...THE FIRST ALBUM PERSON WAS ABOUT THEIR PUBLIC PERSONA N THE BTS IN THE SPOTLIGHT N ONSCREEN AND THE SECOND ONE MAP OF THE SOUL 7 WAS ABOUT THEIR FEARS DISADVANTAGES THEY FACE OF THEIR LIVES BEING ON THE CAMERA ALL THE TIME N HOW THEY HV ACCEPTED ALL OF IT SLOWLY N ARE STILL ACCEPTING IT....SO THIS IS HOW I FEEL.... SORRY FOF MAKING IT THIS LONG.. CORRECT ME IF I M WRONG... TAKE CARE.. THANKS FOR THE REACTION💜
I'm enjoying your video! Please react to the rm-mono mixtape later.😌 The lyrics are crazy. Of course, I don't want you to be stressed out about reacting.🥺
Louder than Bomb not being performed by BTS is almost like an inside joke now. There is few songs they never performed live and this is one of them indeed. We kept asking for it whenever we could on twitter or during their live etc, so we collectively agreed on twitter to ask for this one in particular during the survey to let them know 😂 Another song they never performed is Paradise (3rd on the list if I remember right) but they seems to have a grudge against this one 😭
Jimin was HOLLERING in this song on those adlibs. I love it so much. What an emotionally raw song, the harmonies sound like they are wailing.

Namjoon said this song made him cry a lot and honestly it made me cry a lot too and they were talking about both pains their own and us as well

Even if you don't literally look up for the lyrics itself, as a non korean, this song is so beautifully put together.
The whole song gives me chills every time I listen to it, such a masterpiece.
Louder than bombs is truly one of my favorites. I always got chills when I listen to it. I really can't wait to see them performing.
My theory.
Louder than Bomb is most probably fall under the shadow section of MOTS:7... so this song can be about BTS's fear of being swallowed by their shadow. So I think Louder than Bomb in more about BTS's personal struggle, but just like any BTS song we can interpret it in our own way.

Ok fangirl
Louder than bombs is a special, special song for someone I hold dear. Thanks for reacting to it. I love watching your facial expressions whenever J-Hope sings/raps his verses. My thoughts exactly regarding the lyrics. 💜
I got a chill
Hobi’s lyrics
Mute…..
Then it was real mute-silence. Even it was very very short!
Hey you! I love that you chose to do this 💜 absolutely love this song
This song is so haunting .. I think it's about their struggles to get where they are and all the criticism they had to face .. there's a line in the song that says " we chose this game" it's sad though, that at the stage of success there's still sadness
Not joking but literally everytime i cane to know any new(for me) bts songs it makes me craz...i always want to choose favourite song but can't choose one....they are just breaking the songs 💜💜
since the first time i heard this song i fell in love 🥰
Every time I hear this Song I get goosebumps
REACTION: Black or White - Jimin and Jungkook
it's like how i always tell people , BTS sing they story they feeling but for comfort others people , no other artis ever do that , most people sing they story to relief them self for the pain , but BTS mostly make song start with nagetif and finish with positif massage, it's like they tell us "i feel this way and this is how i overcome it " they are truely artis ever existed
They did turn away from Army. Sort of. During 2018 when they wanted to quit. Almost quit. Im glad they didn’t. Thats the time i discover them only to realize thats their breaking point. They wanted to stop
For me its their song.
I wanted to cry hearing Taehyung sing and Yoongi wrap here
I'm so glad you've finally reacted to this
A very haunting, beautiful song. 💜💜💜💜
This song is angelic
I read it somewhere one army said...louder than bombs is a song BTS sang for BTS ....and I do believe it.
Also 'paradise' is another song army wants them to perform and they ignore 😔
I can't wait to see this live 💜💜💜💜💜
My Top5 BTS song. It is a masterpiece.
This is a song that I would love to see them perform just standing with mics like born singer, let me know, etc. Def. on top of my list of songs I hope to see them perform.
Favorite song on this album
This song is heaven
Love this song! So happy you got to hear it 😊
It's my fav song in the album.
My wish finally came true. I so wanted to see your reaction to this song. Loved it❤️
Troy Sivan worked with BTS on this song. It’s one of my favorites.
the first time i heard this song, i cried buckets! its so beautiful 💜
💜👑KINGS 👑💜
The song is about "No matter how much pain and hate BTS receives they are still going to sing for Army endlessly"
I never read that description before. I have always taken the lyrics as they talking to themselves personally.
Hey how are you. I missed your videos. I was preparing for my exams . I love this song so much . Thx for reaction to this💜
You speak so well
GOD Bless BTS!!❤❤ Bravo!!❤❤
Everything about LTB is brilliant, the melody, the beat, the lyrics, the vocals, the RAP (Yoongi sounds incredible, I always love his rap of course, but 5e distortion to his voice here just adds another level with that haunting melody), the production…it’s just beautifully haunting, a real masterpiece IMO - one of my favourite BTS tracks. I was also shocked that BTS did not know how beloved this song is to Army 🤷♂️😳
Thank you for reacting to it - I am longing for them to perform it live…💜
This is about their own journey and the trials they went through
Hi, I am back.
I am in trance with this song, this song is so sad but without lyrics is so sexy, try it FULL MOODDDD
The orchestral version of this song is 👌
The adlibs in the back and the entire back track is so beautiful, ofc jk harmonizing 👑
one of my fave songs on MOTS7 for sure
Bts lovemyself
[5:36] part is jungkook
Nd the boys were like what!! This song!! Army likes the most!! I was like dude u guys don't know us still😭😭that's a beautiful beautiful song how can they not believe we love it so much! 😑
I do think that they wrote this for ARMYS. It categorizes their love for us and the times that they turned away/ran away could be a number of things suchlike running from sasange fans, having to end concerts and leave fans due to death threats....etc.
Then, Louder than Bombs, they sing...Our guys always came back to us ARMYS 💜
BTS +ARMYS 🌎💜=STRONGER TOGETHER &YOUNG FOREVER 💜
BTS is one Dangerous group of sweet talkers💜 don't ever let them close enough to whisper in your ear because they will steal your heart and soul💜💐This has been my favorite song since I became ARMY over 5yrs ago. I can't even count how many times I've listened to it or how many more I am going to 😏💜💐
The Fmv is fabulous and I recommend it highly, it is worth it 💜Thanks for your reviews 💜
I am speeeddd
this is my most favorite from mots7

Please Twice Be As One Reaction!!!
I really hope we could hear Louder than bombs and paradise live, but I guess bts are paradise-anti😂
Louder than Bomb not being performed by BTS is almost like an inside joke now. There is few songs they never performed live and this is one of them indeed. We kept asking for it whenever we could on twitter or during their live etc, so we collectively agreed on twitter to ask for this one in particular during the survey to let them know 😂 Another song they never performed is Paradise (3rd on the list if I remember right) but they seems to have a grudge against this one 😭
thats why i hate army interpretations, people chose one version and are angry when someone doesnt agree. i think their songs has multiple meanings!
Please react to we are bullet proof eternal I bet you'll cry also live performance
