Their rematch at WrestleMania 26 was also amazing as well and in my opinion, highly underrated because everyone seems to forget how good it was in comparison to their match at Mania 25. I still absolutely love and prefer their original encounter but their rematch was epic and legendary nonetheless. I honestly thought the Streak was going to end with that last Sweet Chin Music that Shawn delivered. The three-count was so close. And that jumping tombstone piledriver still gives me massive goosebumps to this day and during my first viewing, I legit thought Taker broke Shawn's neck. It was vicious and topped off an incredible career for the Heart-Break Kid. And no we don't talk about Crown Jewel. That was a fever dream and I refuse to believe otherwise.

This match is special to me because at the time in 2009 I was 9 years old living with my family of 5 in a 1 bedroom room in Malaysia and at 1am we’re crowded around a laptop cheering when Undertaker hit HBK with that 2nd Tombstone.
Honestly, that camera man spot made the match that much better, because you knew it wasn't planned, you knew the match was so far the best ever, and you knew what was on the line, and couldn't figure out whether or not they would be able to go as planned. It was 5 out of 5.

But I remember the storyline and the whole build up to the match of Brother v Brother in law. The sister torn between her brother and her husband. That was what made that match great
As a person who was there for the streak vs career match, it completely stole the show. That match was so worth the hype and build up it got. And I'll forever remember it as a 6 star match. Idgaf what the official rank was, that was a minimum 5 star match. They had a few other really good matches but Shawn and Taker man....
Wrestlemania 25 was the first one I got to watch live, I was 14 years old, to this day, Taker vs HBK is still the best wrestling match I’ve ever seen. Honestly, although I’m really glad nobody got seriously hurt, I think the close call outside dive actually added to the match overall. This is a great example of proof that Meltzer’s ratings should not be considered wrestling gospel, there’s no way that wasn’t a 5 star match, and I will die on this hill!

25 my favorite match of all time I still watch it from time to time
As a person who was there for the streak vs career match, it completely stole the show. That match was so worth the hype and build up it got. And I'll forever remember it as a 6 star match. Idgaf what the official rank was, that was a minimum 5 star match. They had a few other really good matches but Shawn and Taker man....

HBK vs Undertaker at WM 25 was the greatest match EVER. It was perfect.
Shawn taker ll at wm26 was the first time EVER that i SCREAMED at the tv because that match was freaking mental
Wrestlemania 25 was the first one I got to watch live, I was 14 years old, to this day, Taker vs HBK is still the best wrestling match I’ve ever seen. Honestly, although I’m really glad nobody got seriously hurt, I think the close call outside dive actually added to the match overall.
This is a great example of proof that Meltzer’s ratings should not be considered wrestling gospel, there’s no way that wasn’t a 5 star match, and I will die on this hill!
It doesn't matter what critics think, it's literally considered one of the greatest matches in the history of wrestling. That's far superior than one man's criteria of "5 stars"
