Usually you can say that for each equation you can solve for another variable eg. 17 variables means you need at least 17 equations to solve the system

Say you have the following equations: 5x+4y=7 3x+12y=9 you can multiply one of them so that the number before either x or y is the same in both equations, for example, multiply the first one by 3 15x+12y=21 3x+12y=9 It is now possible to subtract the two equations from each other 15x+12y-3x-12y=21-9 simplifying, that's 12x=12 x=1 Then you can substitute the x in one of the equations for 1 and solve for y normally 5+4y=7 4y=2 y=1/2 I prefer this method, as it cuts out a lot of annoying work with equations this simple, and it feels more efficient to me. There are also matrices for high level work, but I've never really felt the need to use them.

I literally got out of bed found a paper and a sharpie and started trying to solve the problems myself. Math was one of my favorite classes thanks to the teacher. So I really enjoyed this to the max! ❤

Imagine if they played prodigy, Nick and Brent would answer the equations near perfectly, while Vernias and Eevee would utilize hints 90% of the time.
This feels a bit hard to follow with the battless being edited, not showing the true duration of their calculations
but looking at the clock in the bottom right. most of them were somewhere between 10 to 30 seconds
