I feel the bushings work a lot better if you don't tighten them the first couple of sessions and let them settle a bit first, they stiffen up a bit after those first sessions and then tighten/loosen them

I feel that man. I'm about 225. I ride 100 duro bushings cranked until I can lean back and lift my wheels up without getting too much bite. My board is always too hard to turn for most lmao
