Thank you. You saved me 2 weekends and driving 6 hours. I had not seen that screen before. I was leary of manually disrupting the cycle or freezing the machine by turning it off as was demonstrated elsewhere on UA-cam. I would have ruined the cycle and broken something following their directions. Your video showed me the wrench functions has a threader cleaning mode which delivers access to the threading hook behind the needle. I carefully tweezered the lint out and everything works smoothly again. I appreciate your help.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos. For those of us that love our 830 it's great. Wish all dealers were as helpful. Please keep them coming.
thanks for the very clear video in focus. The little fine wire that goes around the threader hook popped up on mine and I didn't know exactly where it was supposed to be. I think i can fix it now that I've seen your very clear image of that part of the machine.
What happens when you can't bring the threader mechanism will not come down? I have followed your advice before with great results. Thanks for all your education!
I cleaned my830 needle threaded a little too vigorously and now it doesn't work. I'm sure I could fix it myself if I knew what it was supposed to look like. Something around the little hook is out of place. Can you advise me how to fix it along with a real close up photo? Thanks!
You need to pull the needle threader straight down as far as it will go and let it go. Eventually it will retract up and out of sight. It might happen the first time, it might take 100 tries. If after the first several attempts it doesn’t work, gently rock the hand wheel back and forth and then try pulling it straight down again. Repeat until it is fixed. This will fix it 100% of the time.
It’s spring loaded. If you pull it straight down and should be sucked back up. It might take up to 50 times to have it do it, but it usually doesn’t take that many.
You just saved me about $150.00 and who knows how long I would have been with out my machine! 5 thumbs up!!
