Kacper Korban - Scala 3, but I have trust issues

Beginner programmers are always very trusting of their code. So when they write a piece of code that solves a given problem and compiles it, they immediately assume that it works. Unfortunately, as they start gaining more experience, they realize that it is rarely the case. They lose trust in their code, they lose trust in their coworker’s code, they lose trust in open-source. And before they know it, they start writing tests even before they write features.
In this talk, I will present ways in which software developers reassure themselves and others of the correctness of their code. I will start with simple methods, such as different testing strategies, and find ways that cure even the hardest of trust issues - proofs. I will also describe some ideas on finding the middle ground between safety and time consumption.
