Not very. Different bell, converter and input/output shafts. Solenoids, clearances, etc all interchange from 1990-2010. Rumored that the 95/97 turbo barra/ 3v and boss 4v boxes have better clutches, also rumored that they are all the same and may just run a higher s5 pressure and different shift pattern, depending on who you believe
Hi mate, that input shaft o-ring you pointed put that had gone flat and can drop TC pressure - would this cause a torque converter to almost never lock up in fourth gear? My XH has been like this for the whole eight years I've owned it, and I'm strongly considering buying a used box from the wreckers to try a DIY rebuild on and putting into it.

hi, regular filter service, adding extra magnets and fitting a by-pass trans oil cooler will always make any transmission more reliable and last much longer. cheers

@@YepThatsIt gday thanks for replying its like when i put my foot down from take off it like thows into second or third or both but if i drive with just taking it easy it runs through the gears no worries, maybe multiple solenoids coming on when it should kick back to one gear only ?
Hi how do i get a more in deep infomation of my M93LE valve body teardown of the location of the parts where they go like balls and metal latch stoppers. Is there a better file that i can download like a pdf from you or the internet. Thank you

I went to adjust my bands on a gearbox off a wreck before I put it in the car, thinking well since I paid for this i might aswell make it the best it can be. I tried to find some shims of assortment sizes and had difficulty finding them, perhaps some auto trans shops had some spare shims, when I asked - 3 automatic transmission shops were confused why I would want to adjust the bands and said they don't need adjusting on BTRs. Is there any benefit to this, this left me now more confused. My Front band piston had 4.6mm travel rear band piston 7.4mm travel. This donor transmission drove good in donor car about 280,000km or so.

Awesome vid mate, should have way more views and likes. Do you know what would cause loss of 3rd and 4th in BA xr6 turbo 95le? It will attempt 3rd shift but continue on in 2nd, if you throttle off it goes into what seems neutral. With some throttle while moving revs will rise until it seems to engage back into 2nd once road speed matches 2nd gear. 1st 2nd and reverse are all working. Apparently its either C1 clutch or possible s2 solenoid stuck open?
hi, depends on your scantool, but i`d say the s1. on these the plastic solenoids get contaminated or can leak, and the s5 pressure control solenoid will wear out. contact me on our facebook link if you need any solenoids. cheers

hi, pressure leaks due to flattened or hardened seals can burn out a trans. cheers
How you replace the front band? Do you have to take the transmission off or you can get it off without taking the whole thing down?
