Thank you Bino, the tutorial you provided was really useful for me who was really just starting to learn to climb trees using ropes. And I also don't have super complete equipment, just a rope and a few carabiners. Just like you taught in this video. That's why it really helped me 😊
Great vid. Love the blakes hitch. Learned to climb this way and still use it now and again. I think every climber should know this set up, it can really save your butt when all else fails.
Hi Bino, super informative video, would you consider making a video on using two MRS climbing systems to access a tree, and lanyard of course, does it follow that one would need two bridges on the climbing saddle, l love your relaxed, no nonsense climbing style. I recommend you to all my arborists friends, stay safe always, greetings from Ireland !!!
I just started climbing last week and your videos are super helpful. I love the idea of the split tail system. One question. On the split tail system, how long is the rope that you tie your Blake's hitch?
Love this. Haven’t tried it yet. Question: love the self tender you showed in another video. If you used a self tending knot you’d have to untie it as you ascended, right?
One benefit I like of the traditional is that you can quickly adjust the bridge length with the clove as opposed to untying and retying the Blakes. Nice to have it long while hip thrusting and shorter for limb walks n stuff. Overall split tail is probably still better though.
Split tail + traditional = spider tie in. Great for extra positioning for limb walking on bigger spread out trees. As long as your rope is long enough lol
You’re content is a treasure. I’m so grateful for you big homey
Thank you!
Thanks a lot for all the videos you make Bino, even if some of us rarely comment, we do also appreciate them loads 🙌
Thank you that's good to hear! Take care!

Do you mean to double crotch or entering the tree with both lines near the same tie in point. Thank you for watching and recommending our channel.
@@BinoH When in the tree, using a second line to be more stable making a cut, and also advancing higher in the tree, thanks !!!

We made a video on it here the link ua-cam.com/video/aw6LpPzL6tA/v-deo.html .
Or if you buy one online the may be around 5 feet.

Yes. For if I used the self tending knot I would use it was a high ascent. If my throw in was low I would just body trust.
Thanks
Welcome
Bino what type of knot are you using on the split tail system to lock yourself into the carabiner? Thanks brother.
Double Fisherman's Bend. you're welcome!
