Rajasthan: Mysterious Water Flow In Jaisalmer Stops After Days; Expert, Administration Alerts Locals

On Dec 28 during the boring of a tubewell in Mohangarh canal area of Jaisalmer, water suddenly burst out like a fountain. However, the flow of water from the ground was stopped on its own after flowing for 2 days. The mysterious water leak from a tubewell in Jaisalmer raised concern for geologists, administration, and Local. The administration confirmed that the water and gas leakage had stopped, and a team from ONGC has been requested to assist. Meanwhile, a hydrogeologist expert suggested that the water may be millions of years old, trapped in a Tertiary Sand Stone formation. Local authorities have banned movement in the area until further notice while police and administration are monitoring situation.
