I've had such bad experience with this brand that I have to counter what you've said here. The app crashes constantly. The speaker randomly switches on and begins screaming at everyone nearby. Why do we NEED to have an app to run this? Why cant it run like an urban trail camera? The app took me an hour to set up. 30 seconds, my a rse. The camera turned the speaker back on even though I'd set it up again and again in the app, notifying that I was recording. If your wifi goes off (or gets blocked by savvy thieves - common now) your footage wont be stored, even with SD cards.
NOTE: In the EB3, which is the latest model of the brand, when you are in the "surveillance" zone and you want the camera to stop detecting and recording images non-stop, THERE IS NO BUTTON to do it. You have to: 1) Click on "disarm camera", which will prevent you from receiving notifications or the visual or sound alert from going off. 2) Go to options and change the operating mode to super energy-saving, so it stops monitoring, detecting, and saving video clips to memory. It's a complete nonsense and we hope that EZVIZ includes a button in the APP to do all this in one go
Do you need the camera constantly connected to the router to access the camera footage and live view through wifi ? Would be nice to access both through bluetooth or wifi directly to the camera so that i can extract footage without a router being connected. In locations without a router it would not be ideal as you would need to remove the camera and connect it to a router to extract the footage.
Hi CSS, can you help me with a setting on this Camera please. I have purchased this identical EZVIZ Camera only this week from Amazon UK and downloaded the app and it's all set up and working. But there seems to be a feature missing on the Live View Toolbar, and it's to manually turn on the LED Flood Lights, my Toolbar looks the same as yours on your UA-cam video, so how do I turn on the Flood Lights manually? Any help would be appreciated.
hello i bought this product and it has a problem installing on my network. I follow all the steps you show me and the installation fails at 90%. My router is in Dual Band (2.4 & 5GHz).

It works without it. Cloud storage is an optional extra which gives you 7 days recordings saved in the cloud.

Correct you can. But the battery will last 270 days with no solar power too. But totally up to you.
