Commissioned by the Oakville Choir to celebrate our return to singing together.
Award winning, multi instrumentalist Waleed Abdulhamid created this song, Rafiki Yangu, for the entire Oakville Choir community. Wishing to give the choristers the experience of being in a market place or community gathering in Sudan, while also celebrating togetherness and individuality, Waleed brought the choirs together through workshops, education and song for this celebratory conclusion to our first live concert since the pandemic.
Featuring all 7 ensembles of the Oakville Choir.
