To those who think it is hard to tell the time on these watches it actually isn’t. The hands stick out against the dial. I preferred the Phantom Gen 1 hands but I love the titanium case and bracelet over the previous DLC stainless.
They missed the opportunity to put solid white hour, minute and second hands ( like the Steinhart Ocean Titanium 500 Premium) to highlight legibility. I would have bought it in a heart beat.
Single direction timing bezels are noted to be on higher end watches, especially watches intended for diving as a safety measure so if anything, if the timing bezel moves accidently, it can only accidentally give you LESS time and not MORE time, which could be a life threatening safety issue.
These blackout watches are a joke! Everyone thinks they'll be cool by wearing them but look on all the watch discussion groups and see how many are on sale all the time.

Damn. I don't own a Steinhart, but I wouldn't mind this one. A bit more lume and maybe another tweak or two, and it'd be outstanding

I'm not a Stienhart fan or a fan if homages in general. But if it wasn't sold out I'd consider it. I like it.
I wonder how durable that finish is? Many of these coatings will wear and then you will have the titanium substrate showing through.
This is very pretty and unfortunatlely very similar to my blacked out Seiko sport 5, i can barely tell the time on that

This is literally a modded seiko with srpd79 dial, Rolex homage bezel and double dome crystal
I am almost certain that the bezel is stainless steel. Steinhart on theirs titanium watches is using stainless steel bezels.
