  • Comparing a gathered end style hammock (Dutchware Chameleon) vs a bridge style hammock (Dutchware Banyan). Both have their pros and cons, but which one do you prefer?

Correction: The material on the gathered end hammock is Hexon 2.4, not Hexon 2.0.

I have no issues side sleeping in my gathered end hammocks. But I do prefer back sleeping in my hammock. At home in my bed I'm 90% side sleeper, 10% back. In my hammock in 90% back and 10% side.

Great comparison, thank you for putting out this video. I have a Chameleon and a Warbonnet RidgeRunner. IMHO bridge hammocks in general are better suited for people who can't get comfortable in a gathered-end. People who really need to get flat like a mummy, and those who have shoulder problems benefit more from a bridge. If you don't have any of those issues, then a gathered-end would probably suit you better, plus they're usually lighter (no need of spreader bars) and less fiddly (no need of a bigger tarp, longer tree spacing, etc), and as mentioned in the video, they're less tippy.
