I miss wargames shows. I live in rural France and there is nothing like this. I planned to go to Salute in London and Chaos in Rotterdam but things got in the way. Good video!
@@RetroAtticMancave its a shame isnt it. We used to have a model show bianually in our local town SW France, but again COVID stopped it. The last proper wargames show i went to was in Wales in about 2007 i think. It was quite good too. I have some of my figures (2nd crusade) on display in a shop in a citadel town called Brouage. I keep getting offers to buy them, but no chance, they are mine lol. We are thinking about starting a little museum next year. I could easily provide all the exhibits (much like most of us in the hobby). Again very enjoyable video, thank you!
I love the way you Brits create these amazing wargaming tabletop layouts. The creativity, well thought out planning, and attention to detail for which y'all put into your gaming tables are epic above all others. I have always wanted to travel over to the UK so I can participate with y'all in some wargames with those fantastic tabletops. I hope someday to do so. In the meantime I can appreciate those awesome gaming tabletops from your videos. Thank you and cheers! 🙂
With modern miniature sculptures and paints you can create fantastic looking armies, the hobby now seems to be focusing more on the gaming table. Not only to make the tabletop look great, but designed well the scenery can add to the game mechanics providing cover, elevation and even interactive items. Pleased you enjoyed the wargame show report keep an eye on the channel as I will be attending a few more this year; cheers.
Wow! That was impressive. Unfortunately, here on the West Coast of the U.S., historical miniatures take a back seat to fantasy and sci-fi games. The UK is indeed, the promised land of historical miniature gaming! Thanks for the inspirational video!
Certainly very fortunate here in the UK, as there are many wargame shows organised throughout the year by local clubs with the support of resellers covering almost every aspect of the hobby.
Glad you enjoyed the show review, it was an excellent event and had some great conversations with various wargamers and traders. You are welcome to share this video on your social media if you wish; cheers
Thank you for posting this enjoyable overview of the show. I hope you will continue to cover as many wargames shows as possible as it is nice to look back on ones attended or get a flavour of those that I am unable to go to.
Great show with equally great presentation. Unfortunately similar videos that I've seen shows the camera wobbling about, moving too fast, or no close ups of terrain and troops. Anyone who thinks of covering a wargames show should watch your videos and see how it should be done. Good stuff, and I hope to see more in the future.
Appreciate the kind feedback, I've only been making show reviews for just over a year now, in fact the first wargame show I covered was Battleground 2021. Keep an eye on the channel as I will be covering a number of shows again in 2023.

Before the pandemic I visited Salute in London almost every year, unfortunately not been back there since 2019.

It certainly is an advantage that two of the largest miniature wargaming companies are located in England, namely Games Workshop and Warlord Games.
I suspect only someone like Elon Musk could afford to own every 40K model now 🤣
That looked like a really well put together event. Thanks for sharing.
It was a great show, glad you enjoyed the video, looking forward to attending Battleground 2023 on Saturday 25th November.
Fantastic show report!
Thanks, hope to do another one for Battleground 2023.
Thanks for the video walkthrough, it's really appreciated. I hope you enjoyed the day!

Glad you enjoyed the video, hope to attend and video the main wargame shows that take place in the north of England in 2023.
It was indeed a most enjoyable day. Thanks for the video great to have another look at some of the excellent games on display
It was an excellent show, I was unable to film all the great tables on display, but hope I managed to get enough to capture an overview of the event.
Fun looking games
