for me as well. Specially the end of the song. There is where you see how powerful her voice is. I can't stop listening this music. One of my fav. My favorite Music of her is 'If that's what it takes''.
This video is testament to the amount of grace and patience Celine has. This writer/producer/whatever she calls herself is abrasive and offensive, and Celine manages to find only nice things to say about her. Amazing.
And it is also a testament to Kara. This is not only about Celine and"Kara so-called being offensive " This is a collaboration and Kara as is Celine very dedicated to this process. And for Kara to have corrections to Celine on how to phrase and deliver the emotion vocally is her job that is what you would want from the songwriter who also knows how to sing very well herself. That helps both parties grow in their craft to produce the best possible results and I have to say for me this song is tops on this album. Yes, it can be difficult yes you can be frustrated but you have to get past your ego in the experience and be about what am I learning. It's possible there can be a different way if I am open to exploring and that's where the magic is!
Singer/Songwriter Collaborations can be frustrating. Not only does Kara trust Celine to take her song to the next level, Celine allows Kara to push her to do so. Like Kara said, having Celine take one of her songs, its almost like hitting the jackpot. As the songwriter, Kara is more than inclined to do what she feels is best for her song, but also what is best for the one she chose to sing her song. Almost like the song is Karas baby, and she's allowing Celine to babysit. Babysitters tend to teach the child new exciting endeavors, but ultimately the control is still the parents. I am more impressed of the collaboration of these two strong women. I am impressed that Kara didn't play dead in her opinions about that she wanted in her songs and I am impressed that Celine allowed herself to open and to be molded to fit into the personality that is needed to sing it.
That lady over there just know how, where and what part Celine should , pause, stop, or extend the lyrics so it will come out beautifully and good. After all even Celine herself say that she's a tough lady and she likes her for pushing her during the recording session because she learned from her. This is why if you got a good and brilliant composer, writer, music engineers and producer, the song will come out brilliant and it become a hits.
This song actually means so much to me in the sense that I was always putting on many masks for other people, just to please them. But when alone, that's when I just tell to myself: "If only people knew how pained I am everyday to live." This was the song I was playing in my head, and in my phone when I walk alone. Thank you Kara and Celine. Though the song cane from the context of dating/love relationships - this song has helped me to keep myself together no matter what adversity come my way. Wish I can write and sing songs like you do! God bless 😇
You can clearly see that Celine is frustated over Karas demands. Also the guys look like they want Mrs.Producer to be quiet. But Celine gets the job done.
Funny when you know Celine did exactly the same "annoying" pushing with Marc Dupré (her step son-in-law) when he was in the recording session for the sing she wrote for him... ;)
She didn't do it to this level. She made a few corrections/suggestions whereas Kara had her stopping every couple of words. She took any input that Celine could have put into the song away. This is uncomfortable to watch. If you know who Celine is as an artist, it takes a lot to make her annoyed. This is one of the two times I've ever seen her get annoyed with a producer. The other was when she was recording I Knew I Loved You.
Lmao a mediocre songwriter “pushing” Celine Dion, one of the greatest vocalists to live. You have it backwards 😂 you don’t push Celine, she pushes you.
haha poor celine - i totally get where karas coming from - its a language barrier thing she needs to get all the inflections right and it pays off coz the song sounds great but it wouldnt have the magic otherwise.
almost like hitting the jackpot?? Excuse me ma'am. Poor Celine that probably took way longer than it needed to and you cannot hear the difference from what she was already doing.
I'm glad the song turned out great but Kara here is acting like she's a better vocalist interpreter of songs than Celine. You advocate for originality and expressing one's self, and yet here you are micromanaging an artist, and Celine of all people, down to the last syllable in an abrasive way.
Who does Kara Dioguardi think she is? Lol I know her music was really relevant at this time but she’s never been an icon for generations like Dion, just let her interpret the damn song. I mean how hypocritical was it of her to talk about artists like Sinatra interpreting songs and then force an interpreter like CELINE DION to sing every word, not even words every SYLLABLE, like she wanted. So annoying, your song wasn’t even a single.
Celine is sooooo amateur when she is recording a song. Kara had almost to sing herself to show Celine how she was supposed to do. Lara Fabian is a profissional one. A high level, she writes the lyrics, composes the music and recordes her own songs. Got the difference between them? ;)
Celine is a perfectionist and one of the most professional singers there is and all the producers who worked with her said it. Celine wrote and composed songs for Marc Dupré, Kevin Bazinet and some of her songs (great songs btw), it's not bc she can't do it, she just doesn't want to bc she thinks there are better songwriters and composers than her who need a voice for their songs. Lara is not that great as a songwriter and a composer btw, it's not a high level at all, her french songs are common. + Celine is Lara's biggest influence and she's not in this video so we don't care about her.
Because she didn't wrote the song. She needs to learn the melody, the right pronunciation for that english word (Céline is French). She didn't signed up to be a songwriter. Remember she only wants to be a singer? An international singer? :)
Her English is great in the 90's much better in the early 90's but as she grows older her accent is getting stronger. Because she said it herself that in their home they don't speak english. Even if they live in Las Vegas up to now. Her accent recently is much stronger than before.
This song turns out to be one of my favs to listen to regardless of how it did not appeal to a wider audience.
I love both of them.
for me as well. Specially the end of the song. There is where you see how powerful her voice is. I can't stop listening this music. One of my fav. My favorite Music of her is 'If that's what it takes''.
That’s beautiful to see and hear ❤️🤗❤️🤗
This video is testament to the amount of grace and patience Celine has. This writer/producer/whatever she calls herself is abrasive and offensive, and Celine manages to find only nice things to say about her. Amazing.
laurielou2 I do agree with you!
Kara Dioguardi is a perfectionist like Celine. I don't see her as abrasive or offensive.

I found myself thinking,..Why doesn't Kara sing it her damn self!
a tip : watch series at KaldroStream. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
Singer/Songwriter Collaborations can be frustrating.

That is SUCH A GREAT SONG 🎵
Teamwork makes the dreamwork!
Celine same respect her trying helps you write for you chill out in the studio to
Eu amo demais essa musica! Nunca vi ela cantando essa ao vivo
im feel warm in my heart. i lov this song
Celine... however it's sang, it's her voice, her own interpretation, her own style, she needs no guidance
Absolutely it’s hard to watch Kara embarrassing herself over such a mediocre song
@@uhuhuh1966 this song is really good. Maybe kara is a mediocre teacher but her writter talent is here.
Voice perfect. Celine is big DIVA and Underfull woman. I love you so mush 💋👄❤
You can clearly see that Celine is frustated over Karas demands. Also the guys look like they want Mrs.Producer to be quiet. But Celine gets the job done.
That girl is lucky Celine gave her the time of day to sing her silly song.
You may not like her but she wrote a wonderful song.
@@pacomejieuteumomo815a song that Celine has never even performed lol song is mediocre at best
Love

Do you have a link to both of those
Nice
thank you for sharing
I always felt this song belongs to a rom com soundtrack
I love this song. One of my favorite in the album but Kara is so annoying. Anyway, the song turned out so good 😍
She’s the worst 🙄
frustrated yes....she had it, but fool no....i think she saw something in Celine and she decided she is going to go after it....she pushed her
Lmao a mediocre songwriter “pushing” Celine Dion, one of the greatest vocalists to live. You have it backwards 😂 you don’t push Celine, she pushes you.
I would like to see something like this but with the music ´´Naked´´ from her but I can't find anything. Not even videoclip or a Live performance.
haha poor celine - i totally get where karas coming from - its a language barrier thing she needs to get all the inflections right and it pays off coz the song sounds great but it wouldnt have the magic otherwise.
where are the videos for it ??
Who sing this before Celine
Dion
Some day you'll thank us? WTF?
What the heck she really said that omg.

A-freaking-men I can’t stand her
It's incredible that there are no comments about the weird situations behind this video... I think she made Celine look like a fool...

Not the best song!

leunameange wrong, Celine is a perfectionist and will do it over and over until it's perfect.

John De Leon she speaks English since 1990. Doesn't she know to pronounciation words in English? :O
