The reason why Myth will always special to me is that they debut during Covid. They were having hard time, we were having hard time, but still everyone had fun together. Still remember Ina cried on stream and they had to do a virtual hug.
Same for me. The double whammy of COVID and Brexit properlly starting causing prices rises and what not really made 2019 hard. Having Myth come about then was amazing for my mental well being.
In my opinion, jobs such as vtuber, streamer, content creator, or other entertainment via social media actually exploded during Covid because people spend time at home and always use the internet Moreover, HoloMyth doesn't have as many rivals now and they can quickly become known thanks to the popularity of Holo JP members. I wouldn't say they have hardtime(Even if necessary, I would say that the Covid pandemic was the perfecttime for them to debut), but I still appreciate their hardwork
People nowadays are "spoiled" with multiple Advent full Collab for months straight while myth had one every few months and now it's like 1/2 times per year mostly because work
@@warudo1 ye advent is such a spoil 😅. Especially with fuwamoco. If one sick, another can stream. It's theoretically everyday stream. If they want. And they do everyday stream but mostly together. Except for some break like the recent Japan move break Edit: Oh and also it was so hard to make "knowledgeable vtuber". Before Council and ID, the main selling point of hololive is mostly about dumb vtuber stuff. With council, it is like there are some serious real life stuff here and there. Mumei, Fauna especially 😅.
It feels like some really good friends you had since childhood that survive through ups and downs until adulthood, but now everyone has their own responsabilities and, while your are still very good friends, you arent as close anymore... Its sad, but that is life.
Absolutely. But I am sure one day in the future we will get one more! Advent collabs often now but that cannot be said for next year onwards and cycle continues until the next wave of Hololive and it repeats.
Before Council debuted, Kiara did say something along that line. She genuinely loves Myth, they scraped and clawed together in the forefront of English-speaking vtuber community. She wished it was just them for a while more, but at the same time she's glad and welcomed the growing family. I agree with her. Looking at Myth now, every member is doing their own things for the most part, there's not that much opportunity to get together. IRyS and Council became Promise, but even then they're also kinda doing their own thing at present. Which is why seeing Advent right now, they're something special. They managed to do full-gen collabs every single week without fail for a really long time, until they couldn't, but Advent is still giving the vibe that they're still as close as ever, if not closer. Cherish these moments. The first year of debuting group of vtubers tend to feel the most special collectively, then they're off pursuing great things on their own.
The Myth Anniversary VR stream and the Halloween stream with council and Irys are two of my favorite streams of all time. Ina breaking down on stage wanting a hug broke my heart and the absolute hilarity of the halloween stream was perfect.
I remember when Gura said that Myth was so important to her, but also it made her cry everytime she thought about the fact that one day it will all end. I felt some really strange feelings hearing that back then. Now here we are, 3 years later, at a place where maybe *that* has ended.
And it's even more of a strange feeling because none of Myth have graduated. They're all still in Hololive, they've just become so busy with work and life that it feels like they kinda sorta drifted apart(I say 'kinda sorta' because I'm pretty certain they still consider themselves close friends and probably interact outside of streaming).
Considering we have only one out of 16 members that left, it feels so surreal Seeing how much more HoloEN has become, and also at the same time even with Myth as a unit It's starting to get more and more like HoloExodia.
I wouldn't say it has ended. It's true that we aren't seeing them collab with each other anymore, but as the years pass, each holomem becomes busier and busier. Because of that, organizing collabs becomes extremely harder. Specially Gura, who has been doing a lot of offline work, while also dealing with her own things (which I hope it all gets better for her soon). I mean, just look at Bae, I know she's not from Myth, but she became so busy, and had to travel so much, she decided to move to Japan, as that would be more convenient. But we know she's still very close with Mumei, for example, cause they send each other memes all the time. But I agree with the sentiment that is sad to not see them together as much anymore. Cause we know they consider each other family, so we all want to see them have fun and stick together. But even families will still scatter around eventually, doesn't mean they don't love each other anymore, and it sure doesn't mean their family isn't important for them anymore.
@@firetools "busy with work" .. I get it that as an "idol" brand you have to constantly extend and develop which in turn labors the talent, but at the end of the day it's them streaming that the audience was there for, no? Biasing all streamer vtubers towards concerts, brand deals (and whatever idol things) feels like pushing a streamer square through an idol round hole. You can make it work but it will lose its unique shape. Isn't that ultimately... bad for the brand? Or are they banking on the audience moving on, growing up, changing, new fans coming and discovering the evolved talent? I guess if the whole vision of the company is to be an idol group then who am I to criticize. Guess I'll stay a nostalgic westerner that doesn't get it.
Myth was very special to me. They reminded me of the good old days of K-on and Haruhi and all those late 2000's slice of life animes. The crazy stories, the jankiness, the heartfelt moments.
man this hit harder than I was expecting. Myth as a group really does feel like a distant memory despite them all still being at hololive. The early days where they would collab and make music together... Ame's big projects that always brought the group together in creative ways... Now we're lucky if 2 myth members are present at one of the big group events. Now I'M getting emotional 😭
I've been watching since debut. I watched their early awkward phase... Then they became more comfortable with each other. The streams became more natural.. I remember Council's debut marathon... how I couldn't stay awake for Bae's stream because it was already noon in my place.. then Irys with her old model. And Sana's hiatus.... her return..and inevitable graduation... Man... time sure flies by quickly.
Unsurprising TBH. 1. Idol stuff keeping everyone busy 2. Streaming fatigue 3. EN being international instead of being in one spot 4. Its Kiara we're talking about. She puts her heart on her sleeve.
@@rankoprose You know I was just looking at Amelia's channel yesterday to see how often she streams and it's not as much as I thought. Ame's last stream was 7 days ago, with some big gaps in-between streams. Ina's last stream was just yesterday, with very little gaps (it looks like she streams once a day mostly). But Gura's last stream was a month ago and she has some pretty major gaps between streams. It looks like she's gone for months between streams sometimes. So I'd say yea you're pretty on point with Ame and Gura. I think Ina and Kirara have rather similar streaming schedules, in that it's almost every day with a gap maybe here and there. And Calli, the poor dear, is away for surgery so she obviously can't stream right now :(
@@MKP2W As Kiara has explained, the burnout wasn't due to success, but the restrictions placed upon all of them early on with COVID locking down borders and making them have to work twice as hard just to get something like a scuffed 3d thing going. Now that things are open and the new studio is open, these kinds of things are no longer a concern, but the fatigue from all of that cost them. I have no doubt the girls will be back to doing their thing on a more regular basis. Ame has been coming up with good ideas, Ina has a song coming tomorrow, Calli is...well Calli lol. And Kiara is so passionate about her fans she feels awful anytime she leaves us, poor thing.
I started watching Ame's Minecraft playlist again from the beginning and those really encapsulated my early memories of Myth and Hololive in general. It was just Ame wandering around a more-or-less empty world with that melancholy Minecraft music and sometimes another Myth member or two would show up and they'd spend some time together in a world no one had touched yet.
The fact that they cannot even collab randomly anymore is really sad. I miss 2021/22 Myth so much, but we won't get this time back. One day they will be gone so we need to enjoy the time we have left. I archived all of Gura's Minecraft streams because I need to keep this treasure in case it will be gone one day. Even listening to her old BGM makes me both very happy and kinda melancholic. It's bittersweet.
y’all remember that EN drought we had those few weeks/months before Advent’s debut? It seemed like all Myth and Council (back then) were either sick or on a break. We had almost no streams and people were like “if you still wanna watch some streams, Kaela and Zeta from ID stream in English quite a bit too” . Like the EN side was so dry that people were resorting to other branches (not a bad thing just putting in perspective). And then advent debuted and we’ve had consistent en streams with just them alone, plus the two previous gens were back as well.
Kiara and everyone else in the comments section here echoes my sentiments perfectly. I've been thinking for a while now of going back and spending time watching the old myth VODs from that time for nostalgia purposes. I might miss some new content forna few weeks or so, but I just kinda want to relive the good ol days of myth again...
Its so new to me when I got introduce to myth that everything they did, from the first new outfit reveal to the unofficial 3d debut that finally lead to a short 3d movie for their official 3d debut in the first holofes they performed in, really made it a wonderful memory to have when the world is going through hard times. Man I love Myth 🧡❤💛💜💙
To be fair Myth still can do this, there’s other gens that still accomplish this but it needs to be a group effort. Myth will always be my favorite regardless of who new comes in, they saved me from extreme depression after losing a loved one and I’ll always appreciate them for how they got me into vtubers. I hope they can find time to bond more and I hope they’re all still doing okay mentally, they’ve carried EN for so long
@@david23627 Absolutely **deranged** to assume that this is at all what anyone means when they say they miss the early Myth days. What is this twitter-brained nonsense?
@@Anony-Mous Hey now, if they don't have to do their daily mental gymnastics to get offended they may get sick or get out of shape or something. Twitter-brained is a serious mental health problem for these people, it's no joke
10/10 can relate. Like, whenever I see them (anyone in Holo EN, not just Myth) do a Minecraft stream, I get super nostalgic for those early day in the EN server when it was just Myth, before they added in those portals to connect the servers together. Now that old EN world is pretty much a ghost server, which is sad as there's still so much they can do there
I miss Myth feeling together. Obviously they're still here, but it feels like between their busy schedules and other stuff they don't spend time together, on streams at least. Especially with Gura and Amelia having been away for so long. Council/Promise felt more accustomed and comfortable interacting on stream and Advent even more so. Myth felt more awkward at first because of how new everything was and felt like management encouraged them to stay more PG maybe? Now we have Nerissa and Shiori being unhinged and Biboo being a memelord and constantly collabing even outside of EN. I love all of EN but it definitely feels different from the old days.
Make you wonder how close to this she and Myth found out Ame planned to leave. all of EN knew at Breaking Dimensions but Ame likely told Myth her intention around this point. I'll always enjoy Kiara sharing these thoughts and feelings with the fans.
Kiara organized the Myth One Block because she knew Ame would be going and that was just one month after this. So I guess she knew at this point already.
The western Vtuber scene did exist before myth but you can't deny their role in blowing up the popularity of it. They were the first to show mainstream success as a vtuber was possible.
myth is special to me back then when the lockdown was happening i barely interacted with my friends and family i would search on internet to find new stuff to get into. thats when i happen to cross with holo accidentally. i still remember the 1 mil sub stream kiara did cuz i was there i kept falling and waking up, i still remember the first vr stream they did , also when kiara and calli did goodbye karaoke stream where kiara have to go to austria, casper, kiara making a stream where she kept takodachi entertain while waiting for ina to wake up, ame accidentally creating a godly rap, kiara falling into that hole, calli still had THAT pics of GURA, gura in the tub and the pizza, country road, the atlantis project..., calli with doors, etc... damn can't believe all of this was 4 years ago i still remember them clearly
Tbh, i hope they will strive to not drift apart completely. Kiara and Calli have been the glue for making those collabs happen and everyone always loves it. I hope they'll try to collab again sometime soon. Love Myth ❤️💜💙💛🧡
I sometimes think about that too. The old days of just Myth were really awesome, and my intro to Hololive! They do, at least on the surface, feel more distant these days. Although I'm sure they're still close IRL. Ame's in and out, Gura's just gone. Calli, Kiara and Ina are still very active, but collabs have become less and I think also Cover work just dramatically increased too. So less free time. Of course Promise and Advent are freaking amazing too, love them lots, but it is a different scene now. EN"s gotten a lot bigger and has more stuff going on. Such is the way of things though. Change is normal, got to look forward.
Pekora may have been my gateway into the rabbit hole, but Myth held open the door. Words cannot express how grateful I am to all of these girls helping me pull through the lowest moments of the pandemic, but especially to those first five pioneers leading the way for the English side. Much as I adore all of the JP interactions and their endless waves of talent, it's good to have someone I can watch without needing a translator, who embody the same kind of ethos. Here's to Myth. Say what you must, they've been through hell to bring themselves this far, with us in tow. They'll forever have my respect. ❤🧡💛💙💜

I remember myth breakers like it was yesterday, I remember their country roads cover that made me tear up, I remember their dont starve collab like it was a week ago, their "3D Debut" that Watson pulled out of thin air, when they arm wrestled, and so much more because i have been their since Watson's debut. Sure its a good thing that the company is getting better and bigger and much more refined but damn. . . I cant help but feel a little reminiscent on the good old days because its been put on my memories under this musky filter where it just feels like gold that you cant sell.
Those truly were the most beautiful times. I would say I miss them, but I can't say I want to relive them either. Every day was difficult. I'm just glad I got to spend it with them.
I wish I was part of the ride during Myth's rise to truly understand their sisterhood firsthand. Even so, how she feels and sees Myth now hits very hard. I feel like many of us can relate to that in our lives with additions being added to friend group and the distance that can create with friendships you had. I definitely wasn't expecting to cry as much as I did 😅
Idk if anyone remembers, but back when myth debuted clippers decided to do something called HoloEN Rewind. It sounds dumb and all, but honestly it was so cool that I think for the first time it wasn't the livers doing a collab but the clippers. They did a 11? 12 part series of all the great moments of HoloEN or at the time it was just Myth. I still recommend that HoloRewind to those who joined a bit later and missed it. It was a special time and many people in the community were ready to watch all 12 parts. Nowadays there's just so much to keep up with, Communities of each liver is getting even bigger to where you kinda become disconnected with the other liver's community, and it's almost impossible to watch everyone and everything. It's great that EN is bigger and better now, but I understand Kiara's feeling of things being scattered out and disconnected. Honestly, If it wasn't for the clippers, we probably wouldn't be able to keep up with the good bits of every liver.
That really got me... Kiara literally put out to words what I've been feeling the whole time as time passes by... ; ; All those get together collabs that they had during the early days are still really special to me. The Minecraft shenanigans of Myth when they were just starting out, figuring out what they want to do, building their first home, their precious interactions, their lil pranks and teasings, their yearly halloween and collabs that made me look forward to halloween every year, the horror game streams, their Christmas collab streams,.. there might be some scuffs and it might not be perfect, but man... those times were so much fun and that just makes those moments much more special ; ; The hardcore minecraft event that pekora held for a week really made me happy, seeing everyone get together and have fun again after a long time made me feel really nostalgic
This is gonna make me cry. I miss Myth collabs. They're the gen that got me into vtubers. As much as I like the other gens, Myth moments just hit different. I remember seeing them all get together in 3D for the first time when they got smol Myth, just wishing they'd all finally get together in person soon. I remember Ina crying wishing she'd get to hug them irl. Good times, man. Proud fan since 2021!
Myth got me into vtubers during COVID and they were the only thing that really got me through those long months while I was isolated. When I moved out to another city on my own council came out and although I didn’t watch them as much as myth, they were such an awesome addition to have. Now in my third year of med school, I unfortunately have no time to see the new generation of EN, but I still come back to visit my old favorites=) Some of them don’t stream as much, but that’s okay because I’d be too busy rn to watch everything if they did.
As someone who jumped down the hololive usagi hole during Covid and during a rough time in my life with Myth and their debut, it makes me feel nostalgic whenever Myth collabs together (Granted, I mainly watched Clips because my ADHD brain had the attention span of a goldfish, but now I’m watching more streams). Hololive came at a rough time for me. I was going through a breakup over the PHONE a WEEK before my freshman year of college (ALL VIRTUAL BTW), Quarantine was rough because I felt lonely aside from my family, etc, and Myth came at a time where I needed some light to outshine the darkness. And it introduced me to the bigger world of Vtubers, IronMouse, Silvervale, Sora, Suisei. And clips upon clips, upon CLIPS of fun. So thank you Kiara and Myth, for making me smile when it was tough to.
I get what Kiara feels entirely. CouncilRys is good and Advent are shaping their own path as a unit themselves, but Myth is still my go-to from the EN branch. And yeah, Gura doesn't stream as much anymore since she works more behind the scenes now, Calli usually collabs more with other people including her CHADcast kouhails, Ame and Ina are all doing their own things and Kiara is also doing her own thing. But look on the bright side: every time Myth actually have a collab together (Lethal Company and Calli's final song of her birthday concert) it feels special. Just like old times.
I miss regular Goob streams in general. Her appearance in Content Warning was a pleasant surprise as before Advent came around my oshi was SNOT and it had been about a year and a half since the last SNOT collab at that point. I just hope she's doing better. Both Council and Advent have been doing some heavy lifting in her absence, but whatever she needs to do is more important.
It was also smack in the middle of lockdowns. I wasn't working at the time and got to watch every single stream Myth put out.. Those were definitely special times. Now it's impossible to keep up with everybody's streams, and that's okay too. But does weirdly make you nostalgic for a crazy but cozy time..
Early days of Myth was something else it and also since Kiara lives in the EU and everyone else lives in Japan or the Americas etc. it's harder to collab on stuff.
@@warudo1I really wish they add some more EU talents, or maybe one of the girls decides that living in Europe for a year or two sounds like a good adventure. Kiara‘s stream times are by far the best for me, and I feel like the market is here, but if it weren’t for Kiarait would be even smaller and completely overlooked. Kiara was such a huge blessing for hololife by bridging so many things for them
@LJMahomes Yea, that kind of was my hope for gen 3, but oh well, they are great anyway. It would also shore up vtubers in popularity in Europe because outside of anime fans, most Europeans would not be able to tell you what a vtuber is let alone watch them.
Not sure if its intentional or they really are just really close friends but Advent collabs reminds me of the old Myth days. I still keep Biboo's statement to heart, where she says the reason she does/likes to do long streams is because she knows she'll get busy with idol stuff, and that at the very least, she wants to keep the weekly Advent collabs alive. I think its kind of a nod to the good old days, seeing how Gura and Mumei are rarely seen nowadays. Well, at a business standpoint, whatever they're doing seems to be working now that everyone is out of the covid era and going outside now. Been seeing a lot more holo EN stuff in Japan + internationally lately.
A reason why myth collab streams really hitting different. Always hits like home in the days of beginnig where everyone was still figuring things out now they quite bussy especially during holofes and etc.
i kinda get it, how she feels, cuz after sometime, myth collabs became so rare, even fans were moving on from the myth times to others, or stopping completely, it feels like theirs more promise & advent fans then their was myth fans nowadays cuz of it, & myth been around for so long that they only had each other, but it feels like after council, aside from calli & kiara, myth does less now together, & for a lot of good reasons, but i am sure that the next myth collab will be great, & anniversary is coming up soon, so plenty of time
Even for me that just witnessed their birth, that time was indeed very special. Hell, my 15 years of watching seasonal anime was replaced by watching vtubers that year.
I doubt my comment will be heard in the pile of comments already here. I'm one of the very first viewers of Takanashi Kiara of Hololive EN Myth since her debut day and I gotta say many of us viewers were there for them from the start those 3 years ago. We the viewers was always there for the five girls who streams what they want. Many wild and crazy things happened and it was nice that Hololive EN got a 2nd gen Council. Unfortunately me with others are slowly slipping away from watching Myth and others of Hololive EN. Either we get back to work busy or our situation gets worse. I'm about to be broke and homeless but even though one day it will end, I'm proud to be part of KFP and the general fans of Myth and Hololive EN. We old viewers has to make room for the new viewers whose there for their Oshis. Hopefully the old viewers will come back one day but not sure about me. Hugs to all ❤️
When all 5 of them collab, it genuinely brightens my day, it's even more special that it's so few and far between but I would love for them to collab more. I miss the five of them together so much and I think we all do. I get that the projects and solo stuff is important to their careers but I hate that the more famous a vtuber gets the less time they have to just hang out with eachother.
I will always owe my return to art and things I love to Myth. Those early days were my light in my darkest days. Things may change, and I too miss those days, but those moments will always be special.
I refuse. I'm holding out hope that it'll be back until one of them quits, and then I'll just have to hope that whatever gen is next will bring that feeling back again.
Well, I vaguely remember Gura saying something along the lines of being inspired by Kizuna Ai and Hatsune. She wanted to be like them, that’s what led her to joining Hololive. So I think she was always more into the idol/singing side of things. If she has more opportunities on the idol side of things now behind the scenes and she’s happy then I’m happy for her even if it means she won’t stream often or ever again. For her to get emotional and cry over it leads me to believe they don’t interact outside much either. Maybe they’re just very busy and don’t have time to talk/meetup even though they’re still good friends. It seems Kiara really misses them and this would be unlikely if they did contact one another often. I hope once everyone’s schedule calms down, they can find time to relax together on or offscreen.
The early days of 2019 - 2020 will always be a golden era to me. Vtubing was really special and Myth defeated all my biases about having actual western Vtubers in hololive. The energy and the feeling it all is changed now. Success and an increase of people knowing about vtubing has brought in concerns that those early days just didn't have. Its not a bad thing at all, since its changed all these girls lives for the better financially. We just have to be glad we were there to see it.
I’d be honest, still some parts in me wish that HoloEN Myth is the first and will be the only one that exists. Maybe bc Myth is really really special to me that I have that feeling. When Kiara and Gura released Ai kotoba III cover, I couldnt hold up my tears, that was when I realized HoloMyth will be the best gen in my heart. Tho I also appreciate new comers to join HoloEN cause it builds up diversity.
that happened to me too for the early JP gens. Noel talked about some similar stuff about this too. like, reminiscing about the times when they streamed at that small studio and the celebrations they had at that place with the other holomems
I do also miss Myth collabs and those early Minecraft streams were my favorites. I never really got into other gens, to be fair watching vtuber streams are just waste of time most of the time for me, but Myth was hit me at the right moment and I really got into them, so I do really miss them a lot.
While it's sad Myth doesn't have the time to get together much, it was for a good reason. When Myth debut so much was riding on them as the first EN gen of Hololive and they essentially set off a huge wave in the EN vtubing scene. Each member just started cooking with their own projects that built the foundation the branch now stands on and it shows in each individual member's growth. (I did enjoy that short 1 month period when IRyS debut but before Council's when she felt like the 6th member of EN)
Missed the days of those scuffed collabs either playing in minecraft or just them eating snacks together. Its been 3 years since i first saw this dorks, Kiara just pushed that deep Myth nostalgia out from mann...
I remember having discussions in UA-cam comments shortly after Council debut about how I hoped HoloEN stopped at only 2 or 3 gens, for basically this exact reason. Don't get me wrong, I really love Advent - I think they're the gen I watch the most in terms of how many members I actually regularly watch - but there was a real coziness and tight-knit feeling with Myth and month 1 of Council (back before the collab ban was lifted and they were all just collabing with other members of Council - probably my favourite time in HoloEN history, actually) that has really gotten lost as more and more people have joined. It's shifting toward the same feeling that put me off of following bigger vtuber groups like HoloJP or Nijisanji back in the day - rather than a few people who felt really close, they felt like these massive blobs of people who all sort of knew each other. I'm still on board, because at this point I've been following some of these girls for almost 5 years and I still really enjoy their content, but I feel more and more like I'm less of a "Hololive fan" and more of a "fan of X, Y and Z vtubers, who all happen to be in Hololive". And, hey, I'm glad the company is doing well enough to grow, and all of the new talents are great (I legitimately really DO love everyone in Advent, I'm not trying to put them down in the slightest), and this is probably for the better, but those old times are nice and nostalgic and oddly rose-tinted, almost like I'm wearing some sort of glasses, aren't they?
Well said. Fact of the matter is that humans do better with small, tight knit communities and that's what we had. Now, with cover being so big everything starts to water down. Good for business, less so for connections. I do hope cover realises that, cuz i feel this form of exhaustion and being spread out is felt by all the girls in all branches.....
@@franks777_KFPI mean, not to sound sarcastic or anything, but isn't that why Hololive debuts talents much slower compared to anyone else? Like sure, it is gonna grow no matter what, but I don't know about you: I still feel the tightness and closeness of the new groups. Honestly, I feel it more than ever
@@larajamila005 for the new groups sure. And yes it's still sorta ok thanks to the slow rate of debuts. But as an og Myth fan, i miss it on their side. Those times were special. Maybe also cuz homework on their end wasn't as intense due to covers smaller size. Times felt more chill in terms of just hanging and doing fun stuff. Now the content creation sometimes feels more secondary to selling merch and brand collabs. Literally, since many bigger group collabs are often as part of some merch thing (like holoWitch now) and not just getting together to Minecraft. Thanks just my view, still love holo though.
It's honestly heartwarming how much Myth means to so many people. As much as I'd love to praise the other generations AND other branches without end, Myth felt special. Probably because it was the first concrete link between us and the communities overseas. While we had Coco, she laid the foundation for EN, and Myth built it from there; and from then on, Hololive truly had an international audience. What a feat.
Honestly I relate a lot with her thoughts. I miss the old days too. The original EN for me is Myth. I like the others and I watch them from time to time, but it’s just… not the same. oh well 😂💔I’m gonna treasure those moments and keep looking forward! That’s the only thing we can do now
I have horrible perception of time and I fall in and out of the Vtuber scene at times. But damn, I did not realise it's been 4 years since I watched them debut.
I wished I discovered the Myth's girls, or even VTubers in general, a lot sooner. But back then, I was busy being a student at a university by the time they were on the first phase of their rises. I just felt bad about the time that passed by without knowing them earlier, of course.
Hololive was so fresh and new to me I found them out 10 days after they debuted and I binged the fuck outta their early videos. Every inside joke, every Minecraft videos, every collab, fake 3D streams etc. I saw it all the first year. It was glorious! Then Council came and it became even harder to catch up, then Advent. Personally, Myth and Advent are very special to me since they each have their own sort of dynamic with Myth being the only EN speakers and Advent feeling like they're professional at streaming but still really fun and great with each other.
For me, Hololive and the girls are part of my family. Helped me through the worst times and have been with me at the best - heck, even at the average days, just always. Love all of ‘em❤
Same thing happened with the older generations of jp when they first debuted they were collabing with each other a lot but after sometime everyone started making their own little groups which is fine
i dont think adding more people really changed how often they collabed at all, its just that everyone in myth but calli and kiara herself straight up streamed less after the first year the most unfortunate part about having the gura and ame hiatus though is that advent never got the time to properly integrate into the entirety of EN as a branch. remember when councilrys got an entire EN vrchat halloween collab?
The reason why Myth will always special to me is that they debut during Covid. They were having hard time, we were having hard time, but still everyone had fun together. Still remember Ina cried on stream and they had to do a virtual hug.
Same for me. The double whammy of COVID and Brexit properlly starting causing prices rises and what not really made 2019 hard. Having Myth come about then was amazing for my mental well being.
Don’t get me wrong, the rest of English are good and awesome but something about myth just clicks better than the others
In my opinion, jobs such as vtuber, streamer, content creator, or other entertainment via social media actually exploded during Covid because people spend time at home and always use the internet
Moreover, HoloMyth doesn't have as many rivals now and they can quickly become known thanks to the popularity of Holo JP members.
I wouldn't say they have hardtime(Even if necessary, I would say that the Covid pandemic was the perfecttime for them to debut), but I still appreciate their hardwork
oh the dark old days
@@estuard9830 saying this just a couple of years ago was very unpopular.
i miss Myth Collab and all those scuffed technical issues 😭
EN curse 😅
People nowadays are "spoiled" with multiple Advent full Collab for months straight while myth had one every few months and now it's like 1/2 times per year mostly because work
Myth collabs are fewer, for sure. But we will always have scuff! It is the EN way!
@@warudo1 well, they're getting famous, Calli literally having a shine year with all the anime ost collab xD
@@warudo1 ye advent is such a spoil 😅.
Especially with fuwamoco. If one sick, another can stream. It's theoretically everyday stream. If they want. And they do everyday stream but mostly together. Except for some break like the recent Japan move break
Edit: Oh and also it was so hard to make "knowledgeable vtuber".
Oh man is someone cutting onions?
@@cheeseburgerpaladin must be the f-ing onions😭
This hits hard because I totally relate to that irl. I miss the good old days.
Seeing the old collab streams with VR chat and christmas get together streams hits soo hard. I really wish we could bring those back...
@@BruLeeArts those were peak Myth moment.
yeah i feel that too.

Myth was there in my darkest hour. When they're gone, they'll take a piece of me with them.
I appreciate how often Kiara is open about her feelings on things. She’s always been the sentimental one to me and I really like that about her.
Myth was very special to me. They reminded me of the good old days of K-on and Haruhi and all those late 2000's slice of life animes. The crazy stories, the jankiness, the heartfelt moments.
Yoooo k-on was one of the first slice of life I watched....damn that took me back....
man this hit harder than I was expecting. Myth as a group really does feel like a distant memory despite them all still being at hololive. The early days where they would collab and make music together... Ame's big projects that always brought the group together in creative ways... Now we're lucky if 2 myth members are present at one of the big group events. Now I'M getting emotional 😭
Yes, seeing Ina and kiara interacting in hardcore minecraft makes me so happy
I felt that....
The family turned into a whole generation

Unsurprising TBH.
1. Idol stuff keeping everyone busy
2. Streaming fatigue
3. EN being international instead of being in one spot
4. Its Kiara we're talking about. She puts her heart on her sleeve.
Unlike ID who pretty much meters away from each other where they can meet easily anytime they want.
I feel like most of Myth burned out and succeeded way too fast. I think most of them have lost the motivation. Sad times.
@@MKP2W Yep. I agree. Calli and Kiara are too workaholic to ever let that die, but Gura, Ame, and Ina are all burnt out at least partly.
EN debuted just before the year of Covid. When I watched them, I felt less lonely. I felt more happy.
same here
Is that why she's emotional here 🥹
Kiara and everyone else in the comments section here echoes my sentiments perfectly. I've been thinking for a while now of going back and spending time watching the old myth VODs from that time for nostalgia purposes. I might miss some new content forna few weeks or so, but I just kinda want to relive the good ol days of myth again...
Once again, the real treasure was the friends we made along the way...
Right when I was thinking to myself that “man this is quite emotional”, that’s when Kiara was tearing up as well. Good times both now and then.
Its so new to me when I got introduce to myth that everything they did, from the first new outfit reveal to the unofficial 3d debut that finally lead to a short 3d movie for their official 3d debut in the first holofes they performed in, really made it a wonderful memory to have when the world is going through hard times. Man I love Myth 🧡❤💛💜💙
really wholesome, they went through a lot!

They definitely made the scene popular in the West, together with Coco. Without them, most EN Vtubers would not stream right now.
myth is special to me back then when the lockdown was happening i barely interacted with my friends and family i would search on internet to find new stuff to get into. thats when i happen to cross with holo accidentally. i still remember the 1 mil sub stream kiara did cuz i was there i kept falling and waking up, i still remember the first vr stream they did , also when kiara and calli did goodbye karaoke stream where kiara have to go to austria, casper, kiara making a stream where she kept takodachi entertain while waiting for ina to wake up, ame accidentally creating a godly rap, kiara falling into that hole, calli still had THAT pics of GURA, gura in the tub and the pizza, country road, the atlantis project..., calli with doors, etc... damn can't believe all of this was 4 years ago i still remember them clearly
We get to relive those times only about 3 times a year... Myth Anniversary, FES and the EN 3D concert.

I definitely wasn't expecting to cry as much as I did 😅
the guitar in the clip really got me and then I was like "maaaan 2020 was FOUR YEARS ago already..." and started reminiscining myself...
Kiara literally put out to words what I've been feeling the whole time as time passes by... ; ;
All those get together collabs that they had during the early days are still really special to me.
The Minecraft shenanigans of Myth when they were just starting out, figuring out what they want to do, building their first home, their precious interactions, their lil pranks and teasings, their yearly halloween and collabs that made me look forward to halloween every year, the horror game streams, their Christmas collab streams,.. there might be some scuffs and it might not be perfect, but man... those times were so much fun and that just makes those moments much more special ; ;
The hardcore minecraft event that pekora held for a week really made me happy, seeing everyone get together and have fun again after a long time made me feel really nostalgic
Man its been 3 years and 8 months huh? This community is still the only place where i feel at home and i don't think that will ever change
Kiara crying knowing internally (company and otherwise) that one day soon, all of this will end.
Now in my third year of med school, I unfortunately have no time to see the new generation of EN, but I still come back to visit my old favorites=)
Some of them don’t stream as much, but that’s okay because I’d be too busy rn to watch everything if they did.
Both Council and Advent have been doing some heavy lifting in her absence, but whatever she needs to do is more important.
it's a long time past already, and the memories are so emotional.
I mean this is what happens when you have a gen from 5 different time zones.
Early days of Myth was something else it and also since Kiara lives in the EU and everyone else lives in Japan or the Americas etc. it's harder to collab on stuff.
Kiara living in Japan like Bae or FWMC would be a collab machine imho or at least definitely more than what she can do in 8 hours different timezone
I still remember those days when I watched their Minecraft stream of digging a hole for 3 hours. Man, time flies.
Myth minecraft Collab is always fun also during Christmas collabs
i kinda get it, how she feels, cuz after sometime, myth collabs became so rare, even fans were moving on from the myth times to others, or stopping completely, it feels like theirs more promise & advent fans then their was myth fans nowadays cuz of it, & myth been around for so long that they only had each other, but it feels like after council, aside from calli & kiara, myth does less now together, & for a lot of good reasons, but i am sure that the next myth collab will be great, & anniversary is coming up soon, so plenty of time
Even for me that just witnessed their birth, that time was indeed very special.

Things may change, and I too miss those days, but those moments will always be special.
those days will never come back, let's be honest..😭
We just have to be glad we were there to see it.
thanks for putting the link for the Phasmo stream too.
Noel talked about some similar stuff about this too. like, reminiscing about the times when they streamed at that small studio and the celebrations they had at that place with the other holomems
who tf is cutting onions and playing a guitar at the same time ;-;
I do also miss Myth collabs and those early Minecraft streams were my favorites. I never really got into other gens, to be fair watching vtuber streams are just waste of time most of the time for me, but Myth was hit me at the right moment and I really got into them, so I do really miss them a lot.
That's why the Myth karaoke collab was so awesome. And Gura showing up late like a main protagonist was so great!
Definitely nostalgic for those times 🥲
It's honestly heartwarming how much Myth means to so many people. As much as I'd love to praise the other generations AND other branches without end, Myth felt special.
Probably because it was the first concrete link between us and the communities overseas. While we had Coco, she laid the foundation for EN, and Myth built it from there; and from then on, Hololive truly had an international audience. What a feat.
Those early days were incredible. I miss Myth collabs.
Myth will forever be my OG girls that introduced and hooked me to the Hololive rabbit hole ❤
Honestly I relate a lot with her thoughts. I miss the old days too. The original EN for me is Myth. I like the others and I watch them from time to time, but it’s just… not the same. oh well 😂💔I’m gonna treasure those moments and keep looking forward! That’s the only thing we can do now
It's one of those things that you feel that now even tough they are still all on the same company and group they all went their own separate ways

This is a perfect example of "We didn't realize we were making memories. We were just having fun." ❤
I miss all of them
Same thing happened with the older generations of jp when they first debuted they were collabing with each other a lot but after sometime everyone started making their own little groups which is fine
I feel like this clip perfectly encapsulates the sentiment behind ReUnion
I totally get it. Even after having a blast, at the end of the day, you wanna go home and feel cozy
God, I hope the tears are just reminiscing and not because bad news is on the horizon
i dont think adding more people really changed how often they collabed at all, its just that everyone in myth but calli and kiara herself straight up streamed less after the first year
the most unfortunate part about having the gura and ame hiatus though is that advent never got the time to properly integrate into the entirety of EN as a branch. remember when councilrys got an entire EN vrchat halloween collab?
We all know oneday it will be all over, but don't be sad about it, just have fun and enjoy it now.
They were precious ❤️
