Yall are really forgetting Susato says in 2-1 "This will be the first and LAST time I'm an attorney.", Ryutaro only existed so that they could make an excuse for a tutorial case, kinda like JFA case 1 with Phoenix having amnesia

@@dhans9662 I have heard that the entire story for DGS was going to be longer, with several more cases, and Ryutaro was going to be solving cases in Japan, but due to... budget, I think? Or development time? They could not include them.

@@The_B_Button even though "they" Voiced by the same person their intonation for the speech bubbles is separate. In fact, you could hear the difference when susato yelled "objection!" And Ryutaro yelled "obejction!"

I guess spoiler alert but since you asked for it
It's her elaborate disguise in order to be able to be able to defend her friend. Japanese court at the time doesn't allow females to be part of judiciary I guess. This is not much of a full disguise and more of formality to avoid issues with the government, as the judge knows about it, as told by her father.

@@feedzuh Hell, it's technically the story of Mulan (I think) but with Japanese courts instead: A woman has to disguise themselves as a man for a cause in which they are forced into. For Mulan, it was to protect her father from a war he would almost certainly die in. For Susato, it was to protect her best friend from false charges that might lead to said friend's execution.
