Bonaire Scuba 2024 - Manta Ray and Massive Bait Ball

Earlier today. There was a pretty strong current out of the north, but luckily I saw all this cool stuff no more than 30 yards from the buoy. I went inside this massive ball of fish from the bottom, which was about 100 feet deep. By the time I got to the top of the ball of fish, I was only about 30 feet deep -- it was massive. I wish I could have gone closer to the ray, but it was moving quickly and I didn't want to exceed the recommended no-deco time limit -- I had already been deep for a long time on this dive.
After the dive, I waited to see if another group of divers was okay, since the current was strong and I noticed they started the dive with the current. They were fine, just planned a drift dive, but they were happy to accept my ride back to their truck to save them the 100+ yard walk. Some very nice local people who suggested I share this with Nicole, a local manta researcher.
