@@cyder534 To me it just seemed that Brad was constantly the more active fighter and put more pressure on. It felt like he controlled the fight and got the better in the majority of the encounters.
yeah i agree but when it comes to overall body language, that knockdown and overall fight the right call was made, and im a kiwi who was going for Brad, but like with politics i can be honest when my "side" loses
@@rustyone6402 for Gaethje definitely. Justin will through hands with him and never go for the takedown. Riddell has a chin and great cardio. 3rd round knockout win for Riddell imo🤷🏾♂️ Poirier will be a bit more tricky coz of his ground game.
Glory😀 so by this just throw knees and you win. Riddell out worked him the tall bloke hyped up. Would like to see riddell in glory or eventually try mma
I don't disagree w/ the Judges. I want to point out how a 10 pt must is good, but flawed. Rd1 - Eersel- 9 Riddell- 10 Rd2- Eersel-10 Riddell- 8 Rd3- Eersel- 10 Riddell- 9 OR Eersel-9* Ruddell-*10 Since there's no Ties or Extra rounds, It forces the judges to not give the obvious 28/ 28 tie, (at least if you think Riddell did more work in that final round which I think was obvious *in a MUST pt. system. *Instead, not declaring the numbers but remembering the rules, they needed to score that a 29/27 in favor of Eersel. To that I ask how much more important are some of these knockdowns, to discredit 2 superior rounds w/o a knockdown? Because you have your "eyes roll back knock downs" and "fatigue knock downs", or liver shots which are easily as respectable but not as Impactful. The system is to encourage action. But I don't believe what was really 28/28 match, should be defaulted to a 29/27. Extra round eliminates that. I like the system. I think the Extra Round needs to be an option for these fights. Where *honestly, it was a 28-28 that defaulted to the person who got a knockdown, and where some knockdowns are governed by an official's mistake? (which ONE has mentioned judges don't need to incorporate an officials ruling if it was in error) it can really rob some fighters of fair wins and losses... Basically due to the knock down, Riddell could have done nothing better than a tie, unless he dropped Eersel... and in 3 rounds there's less variables/ chances... just putting it out there...
The way they explained the rules here is confusing. They should’ve left out knees being illegal and just say they can’t clinch. But basically, elbows and clinching, is what’s illegal. Knees are allowed, but without clinching.
cheese puffs also the scoring is different, it's not just that clinching Isn't allowed but in MT you score and score big sometimes with throws, trips and sweeps.
people dont understand The Skill Brad has in kickboxing.. one of the best alive glad hes in the ufc now. Brad 1 and 3. Reg 2nd 10-8. Judges are paid by one, no commission...
The cardio on riddlel to keep up that pace while taking all those knees is unreal
@Connor Obenhoff he’s not on gear
For sure
Riddell actually put it on him. Almost gave eersel a harder fight than nieky holzken🤯 he did pretty good considering the huge height/reach difference
Not sure how others scores it but to me Brad had the first and third round.
100%
10-9 8-10 10-9... Should have been a draw.. But in Asia they score the fight as a whole... Think that knee was over valued, personally

It was a draw but in One they don’t have draws they give it to the fighter that scored a knockdown same happened in the first Rodtang v Haggerty fight
Brad Riddel vs Nieky Holzken would be my absolute dream kick boxing match
Omg yes
Riddell will be UFC champion one day best striking in the UFC
Thats a bold claim but he is good.
Hes defntly from the best strikeing team
Haha idk man have you seen his teammates?
Brad was a higher level striker than Israel (based off opponents)
Toron Healy how?
Riddel is a BMF but those knees were vicious, Eersel is a beautiful technician. Love watching both of these men.
If I remember correctly knees ARE legal under kickboxing rules! Just no elbows or extended clinching.
Great fight but bs decision.
I had Ridell 1&3 but either way great scrap, great to watch.
He’s a kiwi not an Aussie
His a ufc guy now, let’s show a video of him losing lol
I keep hearing no knees allowed...but I keep seeing a lot of knees thrown!
i think the commentator is just plain wrong?
aaand now he's in the ufc
Great contest men
Are knees allowed then when not clinching??
Those knees 😬
Great fight...strange decision. Brad easily took the first and third round. Draw at best 🤷🏾♂️
What a fight!
Who is here after watching him in the UFCs new Sleeper fights series?
Riddell could beat gaethje/Poirier imo
No. Just no.

Thats the advantage of a tall long leg guys. The knees n elbows.
Riddel barely kicking is a serous big brain time moment.
Never forget Nieky KOd eersel with a liver shot in the first fight (it wasn't a low blow). He won that one.
Lol treu or not, lets just Dont forget about what he did to him in the second fight!

what a crime of a decision 😂
Why was he saying you can't knee? Yet that's why he won. I dont understand. Was the announcer incompetent?
Surely this was a draw?
are they allowed knees or not?
Brad definitely won that fight.

Only knees not elbows. Elbows are allowed in Muay thai though.

If knees are illegal why was there no DQ
They aren’t illegal dude
Toron Healy said so in the commentary
ForzaTerra89 definitely a mistake, clinch & elbows are illegal under K1 rules, knees are allowed but not from the clinch
What happened to no knees ? very confusing
Brad won that fight.

Not permitted when grappling - allowed as follow through knees

Okay so are knees permitted or are they not lmao

piss the American commentators off and let Micheal chevello go it alone . much more entertaining
