In the video you mentioned arms on lpg ships being purged with nitrogen and that is fine. However arms are just as often blown with hot gas which is even better. When blowing with N2 the nitrogen will eventually accumulate in the condensers and increase the pressure in these. If you blow with hot gas from the cargo this is avoided. This is specially notable if the cargo is ethylene where you can see nitrogen several months after the vessel has gassed up.
Really sorry.. i am not really active on this channel. The calculation to measure the colume is by means of sounding, corrected with shrinkage factor of the tank and other factor of trim and list. Then multiply by the density of the reapective cargo. The density is affectes by the pressure and temperature. That is in general. In addition, there will a liquid phase and vapour phase to obtain the weight of cargo. Hope above assist and thank you for visit and viewing this video.

Halo and thanks for this excellent video. Could you recommend books with same subject please?
Does your company take honduras coc officers??
Waiting for the next part
Can you please tell me how the calculations are done to measure the volume of gas loaded on a ship. Urgent requirement. Thanks in Advance.
