I worked at a high-end bicycle shop near Venice Beach California. Had the opportunity to meet several celebrities and sold bikes to some of them. One day Tony Dow came into the shop And I was able to wait on him. I had learned how to deal with celebrities by that time and he was very down-to-earth and friendly. I just asked him if he was working on any projects and he said that he was. I also waited on Demond Wilson from Sanford and Son and he was an amateur track cyclist from New York city. I sold him a very high-end track racing bike and all the equipments with it such as jersey, shorts included shoes. Super nice guy.
Leave It to Beaver was a very good realistic series about two brothers growing up together in the late 50's & early 60's. Hugh Beaumont was a pretty cool dad. He knew how to deal with all of their antics & problems & he always stayed cool!! He played his role perfectly!!!
Was privileged to go cruising with Jerry Mathers a few years back. Spent a bit of time He was taking his wife on a cruise for her birthday. A real pleasure to meet this wonderful entertainer.
I remember enjoying the show when I was a young boy, home sick from school. I miss those days of innocence. It was a different world back then and I feel sad for the innocent children of today.
One of my favorite shows as a kid. Still watch it now! Even though, my family does not look anything like the Cleavers, it’s very true that “kids are kids” everywhere!
Twice, Marcus Welby Maryland. Must be a stoopid computer generated narration. It's M.D. as in Medical Doctor. Tony Dow has to be the most handsome teenager in television history.
I wasn't born yet when "Leave It To Beaver" first aired in 1957. Since it ended in 1963, I was only 2 years old. However, I did indeed watch it in syndication from 1965, all the way to the present. For me, this TV series never gets old, no matter how many times I have watched each episode over and over again. I admit that the show has gotten kind of "dated" and at times, "korny" over the past three decades. But you just have to put it back into the context of its era, which was so innocent and simple way back in those times. No one's homes were ever that perfect. My own personal homelife was actually dysfunctional as a kid growing up. So at times, the show truly was make-believe fantasy for me. I still love it today, though. Makes me wish for simpler times.
🕊️❤️🕊️I grew up with Leave it to Beaver even to this day I watch the reruns during the Day but my favorite time to watch is 12am to 1am. Completes my day like someone said I so enjoy watching the Simple programs the ones I grew up with life was different back then how I miss it but I have so many great memories 🕊️💙🙏🏼💙🕊️🦋🦋🦋
I enjoyed watching many of the old shows when I was a kid. I can’t remember for certain but I think they showed reruns on Nickelodeon or Nick at Nite?… Anywho, it was wholesome n funny. 🥰
The Trouble with Harry, an Alfred Hitchcock film, starred the young Jerry Mathers. Seems a force in Jerry’s life did have an interest in his acting career. This video makes it sound like Jerry was more interested in Cub Scouts than acting, which is in part why he landed the role as Beaver. Then at the end it says Jerry had been acting since he was 2. It all seems a bit disingenuous to me. Then, he’s ironing out merchandising deals. Sounds like the kid played the adults here. Good for him! I still watch Leave it to Beaver occasionally. It recalls a wholesome and sane world. How we got to where we are today, seems an impossible journey from where we started, but here we are.
The show is on MeTV, & when I find the time I’ll watch it. Watching Mr. Beaumont -Ward-Dad or Sir, I melt. He was the quintessential father of the Cleavor family.
I have it on the highest authority that Eddie Haskell..aka..Johnny Holmes..used to say to June..Ms. Cleaver...you look mighty hot in that tight dress. When's Ward expected to come home??
I enjoyed it and watch the reruns even now when they are run. As an older person I tend to enjoy shows from simpler times.

One of my favorite shows as a kid. Still watch it now! Even though, my family does not look anything like the Cleavers, it’s very true that “kids are kids” everywhere!
I wanted Hugh Beaumont to be my father. My real dad wasn't bad but I just thought Mr. Beaumont was so handsome.
