I see you made the template with the mini table saw but you slotted the frets by hand… I was searching for videos to see if these mini table saws are any good for doing the actual slots. Any suggestions? Is the blade adjustable to the height required or do these come with a fixed blade?
No, the blade on mine is fixed height and I haven't experimented with a stand-off platform. It comes with a 0.6mm blade, which is borderline useable. I know a lot of luthers use Proxxon and MicroMark/MicroLux mini table saws for fretting. StewMac sells thin blades (not sure if they fit either of those saws). You'd need a really accurate sled!
