Every time I see a civic recieving a tasteful power modification, it makes me happy inside. These cars are legends, and when their gone, it will be the end of an amazing era. Long live the civic. BRRRRRRRRR.
They WILL NEVER BE GONE WTF
@@thenewkidontheblok more and more Honda’s/Acura’s get wrecked everyday. Don’t foret aout that either
@@JayskiiTV that never came to mind 😢
This comment makes me happy😂 just brought my first car 96 civic with under 100kms 😂 got so many plans for it and its going to run forever !

Honestly this is the best video I have ever watched. The guy making the video makes it simple and is calm and just makes the whole vibe awesome. Thanks man for being awesome
Everyone keep in mind the break in period of mufflers, and how the tone will indeed change.
Zachary Ballew why is it so big?
@@allaansnackbar4269 What?
How do you break in a muffler? Do you like not rev it like an engine break in or u can do whatever with it?
@@NoloPasoro01 lol the muffler breaks in by driving it.
Ciro erkrrkrtkrktkrrkr
Sounds good. Quick tip from a guy that works in an exhaust shop, use some high heat silicone (usually orange in color) at either side of the gasket for a seal that will never leak for years.
I've done that on every exhaust gasket I installed I usually buy the Permatex copper high temp and it holds up very well!
Great exhaust. Had the same exhaust on the same car with a D16Z6. Sounded sinilar, gets a bit deeper after break-in and no highway drone. Big fan. If you're thinking about it, do it.
Id love to hear this exhaust setup with 1320s d series uel headers
boosted b7 would sound crazyyyy with the uel header he should def look into it
@@jamesalicea1666 yeah im curious i like hearing different exhaust setups i run the 1320 uel on my daily with a yonaka catback and test pipe but i think i might remove the test pipe and use a vibrant ultra quiet
Header* not plural
boosted b7 im running those headers with a ebay spec d catback lol it sounds pretty good no rasp
@@Jesse-tz5dt yeah iv been loving my 1320 uel with vibrant ultra quiet resonator and yonaka catback very smooth deep tone
This video brings so many memories, I had 1995 cx,with the d16a9 jdm.mine had the stock piping with the ls muffler and the sound was amazing.
Sounds great, I’m running HKS on my Fit but it’s only an axle back.
😆
@@TTime685 How is this funny?
I ran the same setup on my Fit a while back. Before i kswapped it
that engine rev gave me goosebumps, great job bro!
Sounds great! Always been a fan of HKS exhaust, had the same setup on a 96 coupe.
HKS with their signature slant mounted exhaust, love it!
5:03 rubber hanger is smiling at the new exhaust pipe system you got on! 👍🏼
Ive always wanted that exhaust system. Glad i got to witness your video NOW I REALLY WANT IT.👍
It's cheap as hell. Get one if you've got the car.
@@interceptingfist5682 I will for my next civic build after I finish the one im working on now.
this exhaust has been out for like 20 years lol i've seen it on like every japanese import imaginable
gibememoni it’s really nice
Who cares
And it still a beast lol
A simple way of not being rude is to say nice exhaust than what you said.
@@sethledbetter1689 it was a compliment dumbass I had the exhaust on s13 in 2006....
Actually sounds really good for a single cam. I have vibrant on my Integra and love it. But now I know HKS sounds really good too..
J Sarantosauras what is your exhaust setup on your integra?
Outstanding job brother... sweet hatch... that D series Vtec is underestimated... just saying...

@@rollthelosingdice new clutch is $80 and used trans is $200 its a honda
Mm.. no. No it's not. An annoying d series is like an annoying chick, that also cant fuck. My k is 1/2 as loud. She ain't annoying, and the head is great. I honestly wish people would stop this fuckery with slow hondas. It just ruins it for the entire culture when this is what all those outside the culture consider all hondas/acuras to be. The car is fucking gorgeous. I know its potential. The muscle car cunts and german car snobs.. to them it's still a meme. We all bear a responsibility to change Honda's image, and expand the base if we actually care about the brand. Especially content creators. My individual opinion doesnt matter, I know. But please, for the love of Honda, make it fast or shut it the fuck up until it is.

👏👏 the best saund exaust ,i love Honda Civic 👍(vtec)
This might be the exhaust I need!
Honestly buddy, I think your next step should be a low boost eBay turbo kit. I boosted my JDM D15B VTEC and even on 6 psi it was so much fun and SO much faster. You'd be surprised what those single cams are capable of when they're in good shape internally. I've ran as much as 12 psi through my D15B with almost zero issues for 8 months and the only reason I swapped to a B series is because I wanted more torque, not because of any mechanical issues. All in all, I was into that turbo setup for $450 for the manifold, turbo, wastegate, and downpipe, $75 for the DSM 450cc injectors, $25 for an OBD0 Civic resistor box, $100 for a virgin P28 manual ecu, $50 for a Xenocron socketing kit for the P28 ecu and a custom Crome basemap, $125 for a front mount intercooler, piping, and blow off valve, $50 for the 48" oil supply stainless braided hose, fittings, and 10an drain line with fittings, $20 for my buddy to weld the bung into my oil pan, $40 for a knockoff Walbro 255LPH fuel pump (that was upgraded to a real Walbro 560LPH Hellcat pump but still worked when I removed it, it was 2 years old), and $180 for an AEM wideband sensor and gauge. You should already be running the P28 unless you've already chipped and VTEC converted another ECU, so you wouldn't have to spend that $100-$150. All in all, I was into the turbo kit for $1115, and it was so much fun and lasted 8 months on the single cam, then I swapped in a B18B1 and adapted that turbo kit onto the B series other than the manifold and ran it for another 2 years. I eventually made 408 whp on that eBay turbo kit, so I can't really complain. I have more than that $1115 just in my turbo now.
Edit: I sold that turbo and B series manifold to a friend of mine and he just made 516 whp on it and it's still going.
You made 408 stock internals? That's what I'm trying to push but haven't found many people doing it
@@harryazzole7814 Yeah, I made 408 whp on OEM PR4 internals with fresh rings, bearings, ARP rod bolts, ARP head studs, NPR rings, ACL standard bearings (mains and rods), Cometic MLS head gasket, Gates Racing timing belt, BC stage 2 turbo cams as well as dual valve springs with titanium retainers, AEM Tru-time adjustable cam gears, I also gasket matched the intake and ported and polished the exhaust runners, it had an eBay cast manifold, eBay .63AR T3/T4 turbo, eBay FMIC and piping, Tial F38 wastegate, Tial Q50 BOV, an AEM fuel rail with AEM FPR, 1000cc FID injectors, a Clutchmasters twin-disc clutch, on a GSR trans with an OBX LSD and an LS 5th gear, and it was running on a socketed P28 with a Crome Gold Pro tune that my buddy and I did on the street in the middle of BFE where he lives. The funny thing is that the engine actually lasted at that power level and never missed a beat, but I tore it down to install forged Wiseco 9.8:1 pistons and Eagle H-beam rods, but now it has 0.030 over CP 9.0:1 pistons with the same Eagle rods and a B16B Civic Type-R head with Skunk2 Tuner Stage 3 cams and dual valve springs with titanium retainers, a PLM top mount turbo manifold, a Garrett GT3582R dual ball bearing turbo, Grams 2200cc injectors, K-tuned composite fuel rail, Aeromotive external FPR, and it's tuned on Hondata S300 V3 with the Hondata CPR coil on plug kit and currently makes 612 whp on 22.5 psi. The turbo needs a bigger T4 exhaust housing to make any more, but 612 whp is plenty to run 10s, I just need to make the suspension modifications and set it up properly to hook.
@@harryazzole7814 The biggest thing buddy, is to start with a good foundation. It's always best to tear the engine down and replace the rings with NPR rings (DON'T CHEAP OUT ON THESE), hone the cylinder walls, and replace the bearings with standard sized ACL standard bearings, as the Race bearings are a little thicker than the standard. I made 408 on 18 psi.
@@Brock_Landers dude, I'd buy you a beer if you lived in DFW. Thanks soooooo much for a well articulated and overly-in-depth reply that I've been looking for ever since I bought this car in June. I bought it already boosted but it was so shit and had so many problems and was on eBay everything except for a Precision wastegate and Hondata S300. Since then I've switched to a discontinued PFAB stainless manifold, a Koyo half sized radiator with a gigantic 20amp SPAL fan on a switch, a Treadstone 700HP intercooler and a Greddy BOV. I'm currently at 13 PSI on the eBay Turbonetics Super 60 clone and I'd guess it makes around 300 wheel. I had heard about the unicorn stories about people pushing these stock blocks and heads to 400 with cams and supporting mods but hadn't seen anything concrete. I'm not trying to break records with it, but I do want to send it close to 380ish while I build another block with a good bottom end. I'm getting tuned at the end of November once I have my FIC 1200s and a DW300 to upgrade the fuel from the current Walbro 255 and decapped GM injectors. Thanks so much for the info again, was expecting a standard reply.
@@harryazzole7814 No problem at all brother, I have ADHD really badly, so I always think that I'm going overboard with my comments, but I'm happy if my comment helped at all. I have always been a big fan of Honda since the mid to late 90s and when the first FnF came out in 2001 I had just moved back to Pittsburgh and I traded my modified Eddie Bauer Explorer for a 92 Integra and it was curtains for me from there. I am 36 and this is my first really fast Honda. I turbocharged that 92 Integra and made 256 whp with it, but that was on all junkyard parts and the original SSAutochrome turbo manifold (the OG of all of the Chinese eBay sellers) back in 2003. That was a B18A1 on a T3 Dodge Daytona turbo that I bought for $50 from a junkyard. I had the fastest DA Integra around here back then. Anyway, I'm happy to be of some help. I wish you the best with your search for 400s. I just built a B16A with those same Wiseco 9.8:1 pistons and another set of Eagle rods just in case...
Sounds really good!!! HKS for the win!! 💪🏽
That’s awesome man! Do you happen to remember seeing an option for a eg coupe?
Love how your car is coming together!
That wheel set-up is dope
This civic never get old !
Nice exhaust system
That thing is so sweet. Love the look man. had a HONDA CRX long AGO, DAM I miss that car it was such a nice car to drive and the engine sound like a f1 car, it had cbr1000r carbs. .
I like how the muffler sits at an angle .i want that for my ek
Skunk 2 is the best exhaust hands down for just a simple bolt on setup no custom shit.. the pops are amazing.
Installing a new exhaust is satisfying , love how my new one sounds.
I had a Apexi N1 and loved it. But hated the fact that if you lower your car a bit more then you’ll scrape the bottom of the muffler.
Love the style. Wish it sounded as good as the skunk2 megapower
Can't wait to see you guys on track need more track videos guys but I also enjoy all the work you guys done to your cars much improvement let's see those lap times dropping next week hopefully
I was just typing a comment about how you should've spent a few bucks more and bought an eBay header when you showed it and the cast manifold side by side...my man. My Civic makes a few more horsepower than this one, but I had a K-tuned cat-back on my EJ8 coupe and it sounded pretty good, even through the turbo, but I had always wanted a Thermal Research exhaust and I got a chance to get a brand new one for free because I won an online raffle, so I scooped their Thermal Research Turbo 3" cat-back exhaust and it sounds amazing. I'm sure that HKS exhaust sounds amazing too in person. I'm older though and while my Civic makes 612 whp and is a purpose built racecar, it's also a show car. Alot of people in my position are running side exit or hood exit, but I always wanted mine to be streetable and not sound ridiculous.
Sounds like you've got my end goal setup lol. Was going to do the hood exit as well but it's a daily and realllyyy want a Thermal 3 inch all the way out the back of my turbo DC2.
@@harryazzole7814 Buddy, I'm telling you, not just as an older adult, but as a fellow Honda enthusiast, you will be so much happier with a nice mellow deep sounding Thermal Research exhaust. I will post a video soon of how my car sounds on my channel so everyone can hear it since I've modified everything so much again, but if you drive your car at all you'll be so much happier with a full exhaust over a droney loud and booming hood exit. I, as well as so many others, are against hood exits because while they have their place on the race track, they just sound like ass on the street and all they do is grab everyone's attention. Now a smooth sounding Thermal Research exhaust is nice and quiet at idle, but once that turbo spools up and you get into the throttle it sounds absolutely amazing. One of these days I will post the videos that I have of my car on the DynoJet.
Sounds good while idling, that's about it. It's got that raspy twang. Apex Worldsport exhaust is the best sounding eg exhaust out there.
It been about 22 years since update my exhaust.... Damm 🕒!
That hatch has came a long was since I remember you first bought it from South FL.
Nice Rob that looks and sounds freakin awesome!
mugen header and apexi ws2 world class here but HKS was on my list of exhausts to buy
This civic edition still more fun for daily driving compared to the newer one .
Most favorite exhaust i cant wait to hear driving videos
Also really wish they make in a 3"
Awesome sound!! And a single cam!! 👀
I don't know why but I've always loved a clean d series civic.

Beautiful EG! I have this exhaust on my GE8 Fit and I love it. Jealous of how clean your EG is 😩

Oooo made my body tingle
Nice sound
Gonna beat some lambos now fosho

Nice! It doesn't sound like fart, which civics are known for
What are your thoughts on Heat wraps for the tube headers? How are you liking the Exhaust now since you’ve had it for a few days?
@Kevin Carbajal Wrapping the "Header)(One only, not two) won't prevent backfiring.
I wrapped my 3" turbo downpipe as well as my PLM top mount turbo manifold and I installed a turbo blanket on my GT3582R on my EJ8 coupe to keep underhood temps down and although I have a large front mount intercooler, my air intake temps went down by almost 20 degrees on average due to the wrap muffling the heat. I will say that it's best to soak the wrap in warm water for a couple of hours before you install it, and once it's wrapped try not to spill oil or coolant on it because it's going to retain most of it and it'll smoke like crazy for a while afterwards. I spilled coolant on my downpipe when I went from an eBay aluminum radiator to a Mishimoto radiator and it still smokes slightly, but I swapped those radiators 4 months ago.
Edit: Also, if you're going to install it buy some 1 7/8 - 2 1/4 hose clamps and use those on each end of your wraps instead of those junk stainless bands. I could never get those tight enough and my wraps would always come loose at the ends.
Sounds good
I still feel I have THEEEEE best sounding k series exhaust and I made it from scraps!
I WILL CHALLENGE ANYONE TO AN n/a REV AND DRIVE. Just a 10 minute video.
Crap really blowing out some black smoke
These cars are so easy to work on
Sounds better then a lot of V6s
My dream car😍😍
Where is the new catylic converter ?
I plan to add cat-back exhaust, and was wondering how you tackled the deepset bolts on the cat. ( rusted on mine ).
Did you had a engine swap ?
polish that header up my man you will be surprised how cleaned up that can get it will look like new.
