She did the Wizard of Oz, and did all different voices for the characters, it was phenomenal!!! I searched for it because I totally agreed haha her voice is incredible. 🖤
When she answered the question "what was your first line on wentworth"? Her first line was actually a voiceover/ monologue with her saying "the name says it all". The very first opening scene of season two. Can you tell I've watched this show too many times .
I was just about to write the same thing...LOL . The Name Says It All, Corrections I've definitely watched it too much, my kids are like...Mom Wentworth again 😂
Pamela Rabe, your the best actress, I have ever seen in my life ,you should be in the movies, watch Wentworth everyone ,and see for yourself. One word ,WOW.She would be so very good in suspense drama and horror movies.
First line ever in Wentworth: My name is Joan Ferguson, but you can call me governor. With so many movies and theater productions, I would not remember!
she moved to Oz at a young age and it's probably her theatre training combined with having to neutralize her canadian accent when she moved to australia. i don't know if you know who charlize theron is, but she grew up in south africa so she had a thick afrikaans accent (not the same accent as someone who speaks english as a first language in south africa) and when she moved to the US she had to learn to speak "american" - i guess with pamela rabe, when you are classically trained you would lose your original accent and adopt one that suits your performance style. her accent is not all that british to a british ear though.
@@fielaseanderkind7119 I'm British and I just hear a British accent. I thought she was from a well spoken English town 😂 I was surprised when I found out she wasnt
@@purplehearts9682 well, the UK, as small as it is, has more accents condensed into a country than i've ever heard, so i guess it depends what your ear hears. i live in south africa, and we have 11 official languages and hundreds of unofficial ones - the cocktail of accents here is incomparable, but that is because there are so many different languages. in the UK, even with english being the first language for most, i have never heard so many varieties of accents in a matter of kilometres apart ;) to me her accent sounds like a mix of many, but definite overtones of posh brit, unless you listen closely ;)
They should have given her one hour for answers. I could listen to her forever ))
Yeass
I think we all fell in love with her and it’s scary but I love it lol 😂 she’s the best villain ever yet she deserved the happy ending . Love you freak
Omg , I want to hear her talking forever! So cultured, educated, classic ,empowered ,soft is her voice ! Love her !
She has already mastered acting.
I know we all feel like we can always learn something but I dare say she's mastered acting ;) she is an absolute delight, love her to pieces ❤
Hands down my favorite character in wentworth!
I’d love if she’d read for an audiobook or two for public consumption. 😊
oh, I usually dislike audio books (better at visual) but for Ms Rabe I would make ALL the exceptions. I could listen to her speak all day
Yesssssss

Had the same thought. But she could argue that her character wasn't actually speaking the line.
I think the scene was recorded later.
She’s going by what she acted in. The “name says it all…” line came post production. Filming times can be non-linear sometimes ☺️
I loves me some Pamela aka Ferguson UR OUTSTANDING BRILLIANT like always definitely can't get ENOUGH ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
