Thank you for posting this podcast! Another point that is nice for post-piercing (or post-tattooing) is having the customer not only watch the clean up, but wait around to see how they handle the immediate piercing effect. You also give your customer a chance to ask post-appointment questions that had not come up during the appointment.
Also, as a customer, be sincerely genuine if you do this: ask how your artist is doing. If they are having a bad day, lend an ear and some epathy/sympathy. It makes a huge difference to any person to be heard. Even if you can't fix the situation, at least being there is nice. The artist will be more relaxed when approaching your art request.
Before the pandemic, I would go through the aftercare instructions in detail. Now I go over some basics and give the client time to recover and ask questions.
Great video! Y'all could have been describing my job! I'll remember that for my next tattoo. Haha! I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just concentrating on radiating you correctly. Don't touch the sterile field, don't bring kids, don't wear your Sunday suit, please wash, and for the love of God hold still! 😁
I find listening to heavy metal/core helps me calm myself during piercing (even tho i go pale by the site of needles) mybe tattoo the thinnest parts r the most sensitive. As long as there is an auto claive station in site among every studio everywhere no problems. Now even some time into covid it makes sense that people can be overly cousious about sanitizing. Do you have clients trying to tense and squeeze their arms when getting art?

"both hands" lol
Always amazes me when people don’t think about moving around. I lay as still as possible... don’t want my ink f*cked up! Great video as always, guys!
Clients that self diagnose infections, when it’s just irritation 😂
