My Uber rating is 4.98, 86/87 5-stars, and 1/87 3-star. Uber ran the smaller, local, more accommodating ridesharing companies out of business, and I didn’t realize that they don't allow dogs here (they do in other cities, which is extra frustrating) I had to take my small dog to the vet for an emergency issue with her eye, and the Uber I took on the way back (not the one there) fussed that I had a dog and gave me 3 stars. I get it, but at the same time I wasn't purposely trying to screw him over. She's a small dog who sits still on my lap, doesn't shed, and was hopped up on a bunch of painkillers lol. She didn't make a peep the entire ride home. The vet I needed to bring her to (eye specialist) was in a part of town that cabs don't frequent a lot because restaurants/etc are more centrally located, so I was otherwise stranded if he hadn't finally agreed. I'm still annoyed by it, especially since the previous companies allowed it, and most importantly because Uber in other places give the option to bring pets. It's been 2 years and they still don't have the pet option, so I stick with cabs if I have to go anywhere with one of my dogs. I get all irritated whenever I see that imperfect rating because it takes me back to that very stressful time Side note: over 6 months of 7 different meds in various forms given 1-4 times daily, and my old pup managed to keep her eye. The vet was surprised at how well her healing went, but she's always been a stubborn little thing lol. Also, cab drivers love how well she behaves in their cars so that's that 😂
My total days with Uber is 2349 days. 4 trips and 3 Uber Eats. If you're under 5 rides you don't even get ratings to protect the driver's privacy. The only time I Uber or Lyft is when I'm in a city. If I'm in the city its usually for a good time. I can't imagine anyone I've rode with has had a bad experience. I also usually have a couple drinks in me and Andrew Jackson usually enters the chat as I get out lol.

Not great scores. A lot of drivers will draw the line at 4.80 when accepting trips. For driver ratings, Uber may deactivate drivers if their rating drops below 4.85. Driver cannot rate you if you cancel before the trip starts. As a driver I almost always rate riders 5 stars, but some things that will make me consider lower ratings are: Rudeness Bad smell Playing music on top of my music without asking Door-slamming Asking me to speed or make illegal maneuvers or expecting to be picked up in a no-stopping zone. The impact to the driver, who, at the end of the day got me to where im going and is just trying to make ends meet in a dangerous and thankless job with no labor protections, is FAR worse than how good it feels for me to 1-star them. Unless something has genuinely infringed upon my dignity or safety, i absolutely do not mark down in stars. And i NEVER withhold a tip if i got to my destination safely. The only time i may mark down stars is doing 4 stars because some apps require there to be a 4 or less star rating before you can offer a comment. If im rating them down, i always say why. 1 star= i am actively making a report 3-4 star= i just needed to leave feedback 5 star= anything from a kinda bad ride to a fantastic ride, as long as i got there and dont feel the need to make a report or offer feedback. Link giving an Uber driver 1 star for some latent cigarette smell, a slight delay, and a personal judgement that his driver "isn't aggressive enough" is actually the thing that has hurt my opinion of him the most in over 10 years of watching.
