Thanks so much. Am happy with Pen Tool in Illustrator so much that that the differences in Photoshop Pen Tool quite inscrutable before watching your video. This was a succinct helpful overview.
Hehe I was intrigued by this process ( which I found having trouble with type on path then wanted to know more about paths ) so wrote it out before realised there was copy lol. Intriguing that you can drag a path down to new layer, and can alt click to share fx. Can see lots say easier on illustrator but heh this is cool learning more photoshop too heh .. super thanks
Very nice tutorial as always. I was happy to see it was a illustration tutorial for Photoshop. I try to do some of your AI tutorials in Photoshop and the ones I've tried so far have worked out fine :-) but it's just great to be able to learn some stuff made just for PS :-) (Y)
From 2:49 when you start drawing with the pen, how do you draw the lines this freely, I mean when I was emulating you my pen was creating curves and angle points on both ends. The way you are drawing, clicking and then dragging the single line not a curve where you want it to be. I am not struggling with this. :@
You could've made this so much faster in Illustrator. Thats why Adobe made that program because PS is good for drawing and photo editing and thats about it.
You're totally correct about that. I just wanted to make a tutorial covering some of the more advanced aspects of creating and working with paths in Photoshop so I made this copy of the Chrome logo :D
I must be blind, I have to watch my screen in a weird angle to actually see the shadow on the red part or focus a loooot. If I watch my screen in a normal angle or not focus very much it I just see the same red.
thanks a lot!!! finally I found a perfect way to merge two paths into one!

I can't believe how long-winded (and maybe inaccurate regards 120º angles?) that is compared to CAD!

I got a headache now. Photoshop is powerful, but bums me out, very complex.
why not just use illustrator?
Thank you!!
