U-BASS SOUND (with mic and plugin)

The Kala U-Bass has great sound using it with a mic or plugin and in this review I demo both plugin and mic with the Kala U-bass . It truly does sound like an upright bass.

My late BIL, a retired band director, would bring home different instruments to play over the weekend. One time he brought an upright bass and played it along with a Count Basie record. Awesome stuff. As a kid at the time, I took a stab at it lol, but of course it was too big and unwieldy. But it was always fun to see what he’d experiment with next. This U bass looks like it’s fairly easy to play and you sure can’t beat the size!

It is a wonderful instrument. Doesn’t have the bass “umph” you’d need without mic or amp. But sounds like an uprite with mic, recording or plugin.
