- Isra’ (Night Journey) al Mi’raj (ascension) given as a gift after a year of sorrow. Prophet PBUH lost his wife and uncle and was rejected in At Taif. In the 11th year of prophethood. - Jabril slit the chest and washed the heart with Zamzam one of which happened three times in his life. Then went from Makkah to Jerusalem on the Burak. The prophet PBUH lead the prayer in Masjid al Aqsa, behind were previous prophet Isa, Musa, and Ibrahim. - Then was taken to the heavens, he went to the first heaven and meet Adam PBUH. - They went to the 2nd heaven and met Isa PBUH (he is still alive) and meet prophet Yahya. - Went to third heaven and met Yusuf, then meat Idress, then Haroun, then Musa. On the seventh saw Ibrahim. - In the highest heaven the instruction of salah is revealed. - Salah was reduced to 5. - The disbelievers didn’t believe in the prophet. So, they questioned him and Muhammad PBUH answer everything with great detail. - The prophet started to go to festivals to spread the message. Abu Lahib use to follow Muhammad PBUH saying don’t follow him. - A group of people came to the Qurash to seek protection. Prophet took the opportunity to give the message and Eyas abu Mu’ad believed in the message. - After the day of Bu’ad (a battle) most of the leaders in medina were killed. There are two main clans in medina, Aws and Khazraj. - The prophet meet with 6 of the people of Khazraj: As‘ad bin Zurarah, ‘Awf bin Harith, Rafi‘ bin Malik, Qutbah bin ‘Amir, ‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir, Jabir bin ‘Abdullah. They accepted islam and went back to their people and spread islam.
