Joining together to sing about culture and racial acceptance are Midnight Oil and the Warumpi band. This is a reaction video by Canadian Reacts to Australia's Midnight Oil.
Formed in 1970’s their songs mainly are political as well as anti-nuclear, environmental and indigenous causes. Peter Garrett (lead singer) also served in Labor Party as member of the House of Representatives. After 2007 elections was appointed Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts. He retired from politics at 2013 elections. ❤️🤘🎸🇦🇺
Thanks Steven, great information
Steven Hopwood, do you have any words about Warumpi band? They were a bit of a thing where I grew up in the NT.
@@TheLargino Sorry only know of them from that clip with Midnight Oil, otherwise I have not heard anything more from them
@@CanadianReacts he also served as Minister of Youth &Education at that time.

All are precious in His sight..." from a Sunday School song.
Midnight Oil is a band with a conscience
I see the flag on the wall behind you - do you have Welsh connections ?
+barnowl “Jesus loves the little children of the world” Yes, I heard the midnight oil lead singer is quite involved in politics now. Yes , my moms mom (nana) was Welsh
@@CanadianReacts I knew there would be a Welsh connection with the flag on the wall. My DNA is 64% Welsh. It is from my Dad's line. He was the one with the Welsh pedigree, though my mum and her parents were also born there. I'm an Australian.
@@barnowl5774 nana was from Pontypridd Wales
@@CanadianReacts My parents were from around that area in South Wales, too - from Glamorganshire. Since doing Ancestry I've also found ancestors from Monmouthshire and Breconshire. The grand-dads were coal miners and affiliated trades.
@@barnowl5774 yep coal mining was massive. Read The Road to Wigan Pier George Orwell, it talks a lot about the time period
They took everything are kids still
Thanks for writing Henrietta
Search out like a version bad dreems black fella white fella
I can try, thanks
Heeey you've got a Welsh flag. Cymru am byth!
+Jayce Corza I’m afraid I can’t speak Welsh. My nana was the native.
@@CanadianReacts Ah, gotcha. It translates to "Wales Forever," a sort of national statement of pride.
@@jaycecorza1600 excellent! Thanks
