3:19 Those orange tops are door lights. They turn on when the screen doors are opened along with the doors on the trains. You can already see them in action at the already opened Tallawong, Rouse Hill, Kellyville and Bella Vista stations, as well as the ECRL stations.
Interesting seeing how all this is progressing. especially interested in Marrickville, which is I used to live before moving to Melbourne in mid 1981. On a bright note, the Bankstown line here will at least be one line not affected by the current train strike!!! Would you what the great building is at 6:45 ? It used to be the Marrickville RSL club site, though I think that was a different building. I think the walkway has always been there, as I remember walking along part of it back in the 1960s and 1970s. However, I am not sure if the walkway went the full distance like it does now. Just curious, what route did the bus take from Marrickville to Dulwich Hill? Would the bus run up Illawarra Road and turn left into Marrickville Road? I am also still wondering how the bus heads from Marrickville to Sydenham. Anyway, tanks for sharing.
I know what you mean but I think that is because there's that white barricade which is blocking the remainder of the platform, seeing that the entire length isn't required. Behind that white barricade would probably be the remainder of the narrow platform (as it gets extremely narrow at that point). These barricades were also at Marrickville for the excess area there, so it would make sense. don't quote me though!
@MOHM48 platform screen doors will be on the entire platform, mechanical gap fillers will be used that extend onto the metro train when a train is on the platform, so it fills the gap between the platform and the train
@MOHM48 they could introduce slightly curved doors etc I reckon, or build the screen door like a very big polygon with a couple dozen sides, and fill the gaps somehow.
Hey Transit Sydney it was good to give your UA-cam Viewers an update on the stations along the bankstown line why did you skip Dulwich hill station when Dulwich hill has good vantage point views of the Station progress while been converted to Sydney Metro?
@@peterd4429 I was planning to return there on the end but the bus was giving motion sickness and I preferred to just leave via train once I got to Bankstown. Also, I plan to go there in 2025 when a little more progress is done - the stations featured in the video are all pretty much at the same stage so it’ll be better to have a look in a months time :)

Oh cool so nice to see update of whats happening along the line. Love it when youtube reocmmends videos.
@@HugoBrown cheers!
Got my only chance to travel on the T3 Bankstown line between Sydenham and Bankstown while it was still being operated by Sydney Trains
@@tamworthtrainnut285 how? I thought that line got closed for trains for a while now?

@@XTrapolis942M I thought so too but didn’t want to spread misinformation as I never take the metro and hence am unaware. Thank you!
@TransitSydney What!? You haven't used the Metro yet? Wow

Thank you for a lovely video. We need a metro in Melbourne. ❤
thank you for watching!
I've a request for a vid, travel to the stations that each letter for Christmas aligns to, eg C-Central and film update, H-Holsworthy, etc
18:51- Is it just me or has the Belmore station island got it's sharp ends widened based on what I saw at the end of the platforms?

These platform screen doors have blue lights as well as the orange? I wonder what the blue ones mean?
How will they put the screen doors on the curved parts of the stations? How will the screen fillers fix this?

I hope

How long is it gonna take to finsh everthing? also u should change your name to "Sydney transit" because it makes more sense.
Nice you should make these updates every now and then
@@aabhbyuguihulu will do once more changes happen
What does it look like for Punchbowl
will get to there in 2025
This is more like the Epping and Chatswood rail link where it was replaced from Sydney trains to metro
for sure
Good that will stop Random A holes from pushing people into the tracks
it'll also eliminate the issue of buffer riding and track trespassing which is very common elsewhere. Its why the metro has no graffiti!
@TransitSydney I hope there won’t be an even dumber TikTok trend to instruct kids to break those platform screen doors for the buffer riding.
Wow
Do you know when there will be more Sydney metro be delivered to be tested between sydneham and Bankstown?
How do we create youtube channel guildines for chat?
