- Social media users have reacted to the incredible moment Joe Biden's team flew in "like Secret Service agents" to prevent the press from questioning the US President during a campaign event.
President Biden travelled to Saginaw County, Michigan on Thursday to rally support ahead of the November elections.
His focus was on energising Black and union-affiliated voters in the region, which is crucial to his campaign's success.
He stopped by Saginaw Councilman Bill Ostash's 131-year-old Victorian mansion home for a meet-and-greet with campaign volunteers supporting his re-election.
At the mansion, Biden stood on the porch with his back facing the press and could be heard asking, "Can I take a couple questions?"
A woman in a Biden-Harris jacket announced, "We're going to take a few questions," while staff ushered the press away, repeating, "Thank you, press, back to the cars".
The moment blew up on social media and was met with swift backlash from social media users.
"The moment Biden suggests taking a few questions, his handlers come flying in like Secret Service agents taking a bullet, yelling at the press to get back in their cars. What an incredible scene," one user on X wrote.

She admittedly doesn't follow politics because it causes her too much stress, and she was *so* ignorant of everything happening in this country it was frightening. At one point she mentioned something Trump had said about Nikki Haley and followed it up with, "Now I don't know the context, but..." She didn't know the context of *anything* she was saying. She was just parroting what the nightly news tells her. Mind you, this is not an unintelligent woman, and I guarantee you she won't reflect on our conversation and think, "Huh, I should probably learn more," or "Huh, maybe I should sit this election out and not vote." No, she will march down and vote for Biden because Trump "committed treason."

My brother and sister and I stop by every weekend to see our mom. She never talks politics and never seen her sad/mad. This is first or second time seeing her angry/sad and lost of hope and confidence with our country. I have never seen her like this. She is never down, always wakes up 8AM without an alarm. She is strong and had at stroke 7 years ago and was on life support for a while. Now she does gardening and walks her dog 2 times a day but with a potato puppet in office it's slowly eating her away. I never thought she can be broken and she has been through a lot.

Just a complete waste of tax dollars. I live in Saginaw and I can tell you that most people didn't even realize that he was here. You would think that the president coming to town would be a big deal but it wasn't. This "event" took place at the home of a local school board member, only around 20-30 PRE-SELECTED guests were allowed to attend. It was completely closed off to the general public. After this event was over, Biden headed to a local golf club where he met with a father and son. I am not sure why he chose to visit with them, but regardless, this was another low-key event that the general public wasn't allowed to attend. After the golf club visit, Biden headed back to the airport and flew home. This was intended to be a visit to help his campaign, but it was so low-key and hush-hush, it didn't really seem to serve any purpose besides waste tax dollars on security and travel costs.
Cuz his handlers will rig this election, mark my words!

Former psychiatric nurse here, many years working with elderly care \dementia. There is something so wrong with this man. This almost borders on elder abuse. Parkinson's controlled with medication (gait and confusion) & the onset of dementia, word finding & faltering very evident.

I visit my mother in law daily at the care center where she lives now. The people who work there are lovely, great people. Joe reminds me of the other residents roaming the hallways.

@@BonedxYou27 Some elderly choose to live independently in assisted living or nursing home settings (many now are like elderly communities and not the old "nursing homes" you would remember from the 90s and prior.
Some elderly are in need of more care than their family can or knows how to provide and they must be there for their own well-being and safety and/or for their families safety for those elderly folks that may be suffering from dementia that can and often does cause violent outbursts both verbal and physical. Many family members young enough to care for them may all work outside the home and no one would be there to care for them all day. and many of those young families have younger children that may not be safe with the elderly family member living there with them.
There may be financial reasons the family members cannot be cared for in a family members home. There could be limited space with nowhere for the elderly member to even stay...
So in Closing, There may be a plethora of reasons that the family may not be able to care for their elderly family member. I fully support trying to keep family members in the home as long as possible and until the end of their life if that is a safe and viable option. In my family we have done both. We have kept many family members at home surrounded by loved ones until their last day but we have also had family members that needed to be in care facilities for their health and safety as well as ours and our children's. Hopefully this helps answer your question 😊
