It's sad to see how cache valley once was compared to what it has become today!😕

Boy, this is old!!! old, sounding, and old looking!! but very good, though I have to admit that that music was starting to get on my nerves!! But I learned quite a lot!! Being that, I’m a convert, when I was 45 years old 30 years ago up in Alaska, and not being from Utah, but Pennsylvania, Florida and the Alaska, etc. this was very educational… Thank you very much!! Love, Sister Gay Michaelis(and brother Duane Michaelis on the other side of the veil) and family ❤️🥰🙏💙🌎👍🌹😇🪴🤗🤟

This is FANTASTIC! I love the style of narration and footage. This is the style of old film strips (reel to reels) I loved in elem. school. I have lived in Smithfield for 2 yrs. My first visit to Cache Valley was in July 2018, stopping to see friends in Nibley. A year later, my kids & I moved in. Have loved everyday I have been here. The people are great, the scenery is great!!

I "caught" my first trout, age 5, at the fish scramble. Spent many a winter day skating on Central Park rink (way before Merlin Olsen!). And to see the T bar tow at Beaver was amazing!

Old Daddy Stump? Probably told as Bridger found out from Goodyear and Doc. STUMP?

There is a great episode on Jim bridger on an old wagon train programme
starring Robert Horton. My family went to Utah from Aberdeen Scotland on the Mormon wagon trains in the 1860s. They helped to settle this lovely land.

Really neat to watch how this city developed. I've only been here about 20 years but I sure have loved being here! Seen so much change in that time! I've tried to capture some of it myself. 👍

Where did you find this gem?

Back in the 1980's I saw it listed in the card catalogs at USU's Special Collection library. I then watched the film at the library. I worked with Special Collections about 4 years ago and they digitized it. I then recently obtained permission from the Cache Chamber of Commerce to publish it on UA-cam!
