    the FRX have such an amazing price proposition for what they offer. Great for beginners and good enough for pros as well. Loved your take on this. Had a lot of fun reviewing my FR1, so can imagine the awesome day you had 😁. Have fun and keep making content!

    Appreciate your review, got mine this week! Did you end up trying the Endless 90 frames on these?

      Yes, I ride Endless 4x90 frames on this setup and on my seba CJ's. Very fast and fun in the city.

      @@SkaegSkater do you need the washers for the 4x90 or is that only necessary for the 3x110 setup?

    Dude, I got the Orange FRX & the boot color faded to a pale orange color after only 10 uses & the Velcro straps frayed. Replaced the strap with the ratchet spider buckle, much better. Have you heard anyone else say that their color faded on the orange ones? It’s so weird 🤔

    Just ordered a pair. My biggest worry is the fit, went by their numbers and got 1cm bigger than my measurement. We shall see.
    I'm excited to get back into skating, been to the rink a couple times with my kids in the last two weeks and they are hooked. The rental skates all hurt like hell so here we go

      @Will-tm5bj Рік тому +1

      @blux. they fit good. Unfortunately, the first time I took them to a skating rink, I got caught up in a couple of people crashing and sprained the ever loving shit out of my ankle. I'm on week two of walking again. It'll be a few more week before I try to skate again. I'll be practicing in empty parking lots and tennis courts before I go back to the rink

      @blux. I can see what everyone means when they say get one boot size smaller and get an aftermarket boot liner. These skates are so comfortable too

    Great content! Thanks for sharing. I'm 36 living in SoCal and really missing some inline skates in my life. I used to do aggressive in the late 90s using K2 Fatty's.
    I'd like to get back in the game but this time around I wanna just do freestyle & recreational because I wanna minimize the risks that came with grinding rails and ledges.
    Anyhoo- I saw you mention your mondo point earlier. My bigger foot is 27cm, do you think size 42 would suffice for these FR's?
    I'm interested in these skates for sure, because sadly the Powerslide Next Core 80s that I wanted are absolutely nowhere to be found brand new in my size. Or I might settle for the cheap ol Rollerblade Zetrablades lol just to save money. But aesthetically they don't compare to the aforementioned skates. Thanks in advance! 🤙

    • @SkaegSkater
      @SkaegSkater  3 роки тому +1

      27cm should fit in a 42 according to the size chart but I would be aware of how tight you want the boots after they break in. I have heard rumors that the boot size changes after 42 so if you want something tighter like a performance fit going up would not be recommended. However, if you like it loose then you may need to go up to the next sized boot after 42. I'm 25.5 @ 41 so I think you would be fine at 42 but it may fit snug. Good luck and let me know how it goes!

    Can’t decide between the frx or the powerslide zoom pro 80

    • @SkaegSkater
      @SkaegSkater  2 роки тому

      The difference I hear the most between the two is how wide your feet are. Wider feet tend to prefer fr with narrow preferring powerslide. Your results may very and both are great skates.

    whats the difference between the seba frx 80 and the fr skates frx 80? we have both here on our country and the seba one is way cheaper. 117 dollars less. iirc they're the same.

    • @SkaegSkater
      @SkaegSkater  2 роки тому +1

      Not much. There was a branding split when some business drama went down a while back. It's probably more likely the SEBA version is a previous model but they are all essentially the same boots. Oh and the SEBA version will have a SEBA velcro strap not a FR branded strap.

    what is your opinion about the frame Will he take the jump with his comfort?
    & the wheels did it eaten fast ?
    i will order it tomorrow and i cant find any reveiws

    • @SkaegSkater
      @SkaegSkater  3 роки тому

      The frame is very solid and has taken all my jumps no problem. I am an urban free skater mostly so that's just been a few stairs but so far all good.
      The wheels are actually on the harder side for me and feel very robust. I have a heavy t-stop and so far they have worn well but slow.
      It is a great skate and if you get the correct size you will have a blast. The only problem was a screw from the manufacturer was left on causing a bump in the foot but removing the screw and adding feet insoles fixed all that.
      Hope that helps. Good luck!

    Am 33, and never done inline skating but been looking into doing it as a exercise sport. Do you know any good shops to go and shop for a pair of inline skates, in the area of Los Angeles?

    • @SkaegSkater
      @SkaegSkater  2 роки тому +1

      The Los Angeles area for inline skating shops can be a little tricky. The three sources I have heard of are THEM skates in Santa Ana, Intuition (liners) in Santa Monica and there is a great shop in San Bernardino called Knight Skate the owner George there skates with us and is a good guy.
      If you order online I recommend Inline Warehouse since they allow you to try the skates and and replace them if the fit isn't right.

    How tight was it out of the box. I don’t know if I need a bigger size

    • @SkaegSkater
      @SkaegSkater  Рік тому

      It fit snug with my heel secure and my toes firm with the liner. This liner is extra plush when it arrives and will break in nicely so if you have too much room now you will only gain more with skating.

      @@SkaegSkater thank you for your help. So. When the fit fit feels like a normal shoe out of the box as opposed to forcing the foot in. .. is a starting point
      I shouldn’t expect an extra finger of space on length as that would after the heal lock
      And then the width would form fit essentially a finger width from skating after a while
      Is this correct?
      I’m returning a 39 as I could fit my foot in with force but couldn’t stand up in them
      I’ve asked for size 40 in hope it would fit like a normal shoe - give or take a bit of snug fit
      And if this is the case then the width I can expect to form fit in a couple weeks of skate time

  • @tiimezones
    @tiimezones 3 роки тому +2

    hi, did you buy a size up from your normal shoe size or stay the same?

    • @SkaegSkater
      @SkaegSkater  3 роки тому +4

      Good question. I am 25.5 cm on my right foot and 25.25 on my left. I wear a size 8 US mens and bought a 41 in the FRX.
      The liner after 10 hrs still feels tight but I attribute that to the break-in period.
      The boot itself does not constrict my toes and feels like the right size. I have heard the size 42 boot is the same boot size so if your toes do touch the end then you may need to size up even more, which is why I believe retail sales associates recommend it occasionally for this skate.
      Good luck and let me know what you ended up deciding.

    Would these be a good pair for using on a pump track?

    • @SkaegSkater
      @SkaegSkater  Рік тому

      Yes, these will work on a pump track just fine. The only improvement you would see if possibly going up in wheel size with a different frame. 90mms or larger depending on your height. I would also recommend not rockering them on a pump track unless you are an intermediate or advanced skater. You will get more stability with a flat setup. Good luck!
