    I also LOVED that you were singing Christmas Carol. We use to do that too, but now I am alone and it seldom I would do that.

      Sometimes I sing Christmas Carols just with a music record during Christmas time. It´s also nice.

    Poor tree. Why cutting a healthy tree for a few days of holiday???

    • @freezedeve3119
      @freezedeve3119 Рік тому +1

      you have to make room for the growth anyways, so choose tree which is too close to another tree

    Did the owner of the forest give you permission to take the tree? If not then it is illegal. Here in Finland we have someting called "jokamiehen oikeus" and it means you can pick berries, wild flowers and muchrooms but you can`t cut trees without permission.

    • @basketfuloffinland
      @basketfuloffinland  Рік тому +5

      Yes, I know about that. Don´t worry, it was legall and it was said in the video:) The tree was cut on the land owned by the family with whom I celebrated Christmas.

      .. we lived in sweden and every christmas my father went into the forrest and got him a christmas tree and never were caught. You dont think the swedes around our mökki didnt do the same - nobody cared and didnt care about something like flushing thier toilet in the nearest ditch so save some bucks or kill cats that didnt were theirs.. thats swedes for you

    Beautiful tree...belongs to the nature...not in some one livingroom.
    Sad fact!
    Now nature is learning us to respect all living creatures (even the trees, because they grow) and cherish them, not to destroy THE NATURE for our own benefits!!!
    That s why all this disasters are coming on Earth!! All green is almost gone, the big animals in the oceans are almost gone! The animals on the land are almost gone also!
    And the air is very polluted also!!!! Why we dont give SOME RESPECT TO MOTHER NATURE...BY PLANTING MORE TREES AND LET ALL BEAUTIFULL CREATURES OF THE NATURE JUST EXIST!!!!

      @@traviswhaley6515 good to here! Here in some places or some countries, Christmas trees are adopted! The take such tree with their roots...they adopt an tree and plant it again after the Christmas Holidays!!

    • @basketfuloffinland
      @basketfuloffinland  Рік тому +9

      The tree was taken from the patch where trees were growing so densly that there would have to be done tree selective cutting anyway, no matter if it´s Christmas or not. This practise support growing of other trees and enhaces them to reach large sizes. If the trees are growing too closely, they are limited by the lack of light and space and in the end some of them either die or stay small.

    • @rosanijbroek3656
      @rosanijbroek3656 Рік тому +1

      @Kotikunnas no i dont want such an tree, it does not belong in my house, if you dont mind!!!!!!
      I have an tiny one, and it has roots, it stays in an pot! And now it is back in the front yard, where is belongs!
      What do You do when the Christmas holidays are over, you burn that beautiful, goregouse tree? Because it is no use anymore! You had your purpose with that tree!!!!!!So you will feel fine, content! Happy New Year, perhaps end of this year you find an bigger one, only because it is free, smells deliciouse and it decorate your living room so beautiful! And after that it has no purpose anymore and you destroy it ...
