- An early winter morning in the gardens, then house hunting in New England.
The snow was gently falling, but I have a bit of spring fever already so I decided to go out in the gardens early to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing morning alone . I wanted to start assessing what I needed to do in the gardens to get them ready for spring. I also wanted to share some of the flowers I am enjoying inside, including the paperwhites I planted. After a hot cup of coffee in the kitchen, we headed out to drive by a few classic New England homes as part of our house hunting in New England. Won't you join me as we take a drive and enjoy a bit of the country lifestyle I know and love?

The house you showed us is very nice but your home surpasses it because of your beautiful outside and what you and Ben have done with the inside. Dont forget the view from your kitchen window. Just cannot compare. Gorgeous.
Linda, your home is so beautiful! Every room in your home has that special touch that you have added. The home you just showed doesn’t hold a candle to yours. I think it’s nice to view other homes... but your New England home is truly a treasure we like to visit each week. Hope you sleep better tonight.

I love your current home and your decor😊 I am always in awe of your antique fines, your field trips to quaint shops and beautiful new England towns I am a kid in a candy store I appreciate you showing us how to do all sorts of things, cooking , cleaning silver which I stayed away from purchasing them if tarnished but now I will purchase them and try to polish and clean from your recent video! Yo are an absolute treasure to me and inspiration because of our love. Of all things New England! This house is HUGE and can't compare to your beautiful home. Thanks for the NE tour. We lived in MA for 60+ years, but now live in FL. With your talent I understand why you love it so much, bur we don't miss the winters at all. I swim everyday in our pool and can't do that up North.
Midwesterner here(soon to be a New Englander)...we are getting hit hard with a snowstorm. Luckily, I love winter and we don't see as much snow as I'd like these days, so I am a happy gal.

I am sure where ever you lived it would look beautiful. I love the history of the houses too - our very old German house was built in four stages we have researched and found the original building was done in 1641 much earlier than we thought. Love from a very cold and snowy Germany.

such a pretty area! I live in the midwest so the history of your area is so intriguing to me! The home that I grew up in was built before the civil war and we actually had a pow camp on our property for awhile back in the day! history is very interesting! thanks so much for sharing and yes, I wait very impatiently for spring!

U-ie. Here in Southern California we say flip a U or flip a U-ie... I love the subtle difference.
I really like everything about your channel from your soothing voice, to your simple but beautiful cup of coffee,, to your choice of music to your urn of paperwhites. I just enjoy this. I live in an English Tudor style house and have for the past 18 years. It is nice and I tend to steer to the Queen Anne style furniture but in other areas it has primitive. I look so discombobulated in my choices. My favorite thing in life is to receive a piece of furniture. My choices of furniture recently have been horrible as they hurt my back and such.. What are some of your favorite comfortable pieces?
That would be a hard choice to make. I love your house and I’m looking forward to the rest of the renovations, but I can see you in that place to. I enjoyed going along with you and think it’s a great idea looking at houses for sale in the area. I also am wondering if I missed something didn’t know you were thinking of moving 🤔

I live in Massachusetts and it’s a beautiful state, but my husband and I have decided we’re going to move down to Connecticut as we’re getting older we’d like to go toward the ocean.There is a beautiful little town that we’re looking at called old Saybrook. All of New England is beautiful. That farmhouse was amazing.

Your present home is beautiful, Linda. Although Groton is a bit busier than Deering certainly. The gorgeous Deering property taxes are already $20,000 on just a 642,000 assessment 😣... NH property taxes are crazy anyway. Best to you on your unicorn quest!

I love older/historic homes and the whole New England area. My maternal ancestors were Puritans who lived in the Massachusetts Bay colony in the early 1600’s. Everything NE really resonates with me. Must be in my DNA 😂🤣

Our dear friends live in New Hampshire! My husband and I drive down to visit them every September ,of course not last year . We certainly did missed our annual trip to New England and certainly our friends. Our fingers are crossed that we can visit this coming September, to miss two years in a row would be terrible.
