Jonathan and Charlotte,, WOW. Every time I hear that first audition I'm again blown away. Jonathan did go on to become one of the worldests finest opera tenors, performing at every venue worldwide we cannot help wonder where Charlotte's life took her. She will always be remembered as the person who took Jonathan's hand when others scoffed at him and introduced him to the World.
So did they go their separate ways? I find it sad if they’re still not together.

Susan Boyle was Simon's biggest lesson in humility.
Wow. People are fully unaware of how scripted these talent shows are. The auditions happen in front of producers before going onstage. The judges are given notes about the acts and suggestions about how to react to make for “good tv”. Even the audience is prompted by producers for applause. 🤦♂️

Being empathic, these types of shows can really get to me. When Zion came on, to hear the emotion and feel the emotion in Simon's voice coupled with the power of Zion's strength and absolute beauty is undeniably beyond perfect.

He never said he was abandoned because of his disability. He said he never knew his birth parents & didn’t know why he was abandoned. He has definitely overcome so many obstacles in his life. He makes me want to be a better version of myself.

Can't believe I missed seeing this young man's first audition or having ever seen him before this video but he absolutely blew me away. Frankly it was hard to watch for trying to see through all the tears. Hopefully many, many people saw his audition because when we feel we've had a tough day we should be reminded how many others on this planet have a lifetime of tough days. Could I have tolerated the tough life Zion has most assuredly lived,, I can't think I could have. What an amazing young man. We heard him tell of all the accomplishments he's already achieved and we hope he as since seeing him on BGT he's accumulated many, many more.

The Irish father was very special and it was a sincere and sensitive performance.I think as a priest, you are confronted with people's joys and sorrows. One day there is a christening of a child or a wedding - joy is everywhere. The next day there is a funeral with sad bereaved families in the church. So very different emotions follow one another. Maybe that's why that song suits him so well. And then ending with there is hope for all, yes that fits the gospel.

I love Father Ray Kelly! That was the longest sound of silence when he was finished that I've ever heard. I think everyone was deeply feeling it. Greg Pritchard blows me away every time! He's adorably not what folks expect. Susan Boyle was one of the biggest & best surprises ever! I implore you all to read up on her life before & after the show. There's a good reason she never really sang publicly before the show & what's happened since is a mixed bag..
Alfie didn't sing like someone auditioning, he sang like a performer, like he was the star of the show.

The critics of this show in the comments are lost. I have used this show many times to spur me on during depressive times. I don’t think I’ll ever be on the show , but these people should be respected.

Fiona, I feel like you are a friend. A year ago I broke my back and ended up in the hospital because I eventually couldn’t walk. The doctors didn’t consider the obvious but just assumed it was my diabetes that was causing me not to walk. They wanted to put me in a nursing home because they didn’t think I would ever recover and never walk again. I kept saying it was my back. They had no hope for me. After 4 months I was transferred to a rehab hospital (thank God). They fixed my back by fusing 3 vertebra together. The next day the pain was gone. A week later I could stand up partly. They discharged me and on my own - I got stronger. Standing up and walking! Now I am in therapy to get stronger!! I believed God would heal me. It was so hard. A year ago I couldn’t move my toes. I am praying for your family. I believe God heals and just listening to you tonight… I just felt I should share my story. Have hope and believe. God can do the miraculous.
Hearing Father Ray's song touched us just as it did the first time we heard him. We must admit the arrangement and the music were a HUGE part of why this song touched us and Father Ray's voice fit the arrangement to a T.

He was so powerful. A good voice, but not exceptional. What is exceptional is the emotion conveyed. I felt like he really cares about every one of us. He made me want to live, and lately, there is little that inspires that.

Susan Boyle went on, made a bad first impression like the badass "we've actually had it much worse" villager she is without a single care on purpose, people were ready to maul her, looked at them fully knowing she's going to absolutely obliterate every single one of them and she kicked the hell out of everybody who doubted her in the beginning.
She's a character and a half man, she's probably my favorite in this compilation. I cannot imagine how intimidating it would be talking to her man.

Oh jesus, does Simon realized just how much he crushed Charlotte?!! Did you see her face? I mean yes, technically he was right, but still, she's just a girl, there has got to be a better way to say that. Perhaps she just needs an advanced voice coach? I don't know. I've always wished I had singing lessons, I wasn't allowed to take more than one elective in high school, I switched from chorus to drama. Oh well, life is what it is and you can't go back.
I think Charlotte's most amazing gift was giving Jonathon the courage to bring his voice to the stage. Not everyone can step outside of themselves and give to others like that when it comes to stage life, it truly is selfless.
The Father, his song reached quite a few and when the camera passed by a young man and you could see he was just about in tears, whether the Father went on or not, his message was delivered.
