И прекрасная, запоминающаяся навсегда музыка "Yiruma -River Flows in You".
I'm often moved by your stories. I'm from germany. When the disaster happend, I was five years old. I gon't remember much. Only a great fear. Feared of everything. Everything could be poisen, everything could kill you.
Kseniya Simonova thank you. Thank you for sharing this story with the generations after, for doing something so beautiful for something so tragic. Thank you for sharing your emotions through your passions. I hope your work continues and more amazing tales are heard.
Absolutely amazing. The best thing I have seen in years, and one of those moments that I will remember this for years to come. You talent is undeniable and something we as humans are forever grateful for.
I love this girls art. She talks about the children coming to the sea for healing. There was a show in Scotland some years back showing airline pilots and how they and their families took in some of the children temporarily. They estimated that only a few months away from the area lengthened their lives. Heartbreaking... As to this, this is very well done. I yet to watch all of Kseniyas videos but I intend to.
Very few videos have as much emotion as yours do. it's unfathomable to me how detailed your artwork is and how much emotion it conveys to the viewer until you actually watch it and feel your world rocked. It takes a lot to make me cry and I bawl like a baby when I watch this video. Keep it up, the world needs more videos like this.
There's no words to describe how I feel after watching it. It made me cry so hard! it's just amazing! I will be praying for Your country. God bless You! Greetings from Poland
thank you. thank you so much. thank you for showing people the sad story in such a beautiful way. my grandfather was sent to Chernobyl when the accident happened, he helped evacuate people and mad sure of their safety. he got affected by the radiation but he still lives. every time i asked what happened there he would not tell, he would just say that it was a bad time. later he threw out his official uniform, he said it brought back bad memories. now i understand. Thank you.
The words I do not have to express my sorrow are at least in the grattitud feeling to know that some of those kids had the chance to meet a great artist as yourself and for sure felt the relief that only art can give. Thank you from Argentina.
I appreciate your English translation you provided to precede such a powerful piece. I cannot describe the emotions you brought out in me. I'm not sure you will understand the expression, "gutted", but that's how I feel. Like you tore my heart out for those moments I spent watching you create this masterpiece. I will never be the same. Thank you.
Saludos Kseniya Simonova.!
I responded to my FaceBook friend who sent me Eternal Tears. I wrote to her this ... Miki. I have this book on my bookshelf right now, bought it back in about 1993. The author [ Grigorii Medvedev] who wrote this book was a Russian military helicopter pilot who day after day loaded his dump bucket suspended from his helicopter with sand from a lake 30 kilometers away in an attempt to smother the molten nuclear pile with sand and to contain and stop the nuclear fission reaction seen through the broken building roof. He and his co-pilot exclaimed that at dusk when the sun was nearly down that a beautiful pale green glow reached up to the heavens. Deadly fingers of light ... but beautiful. Captain Grigorii Medvedev years later died of leukemia. I love this piano music [I want to find it ] and her wonderful sand drawings drive home the sadness of this event. ... truly a heartfelt tribute to courage to face an unthinkable horrible. Could not help but make tears having read the book and understanding the full magnitude of the event and history going forward. Thank you Michaela. Have a restful peaceful sleep tonight. No fear. In the book firemen climbed ladders to the roofs of destroyed buildings and were throwing 50 kilo blocks of radioactive carbon off over the side to the ground for collection with their bare hands. When the hydrogen gas bubble contained within the carbon block building exploded it tossed these blocks of carbon into the lake 30 km away and littered the forest with blocks of carbon everywhere. These people were to die before they knew they were dead. ETERNAL TEARS, indeed. The young Russian woman, Kseniya Simonova who created the artwork is outstandingly pretty. The jewelry, the dress, the look. But her story in sand is much more important. Any idea where the music can be found? The little girl sleeping with her teddy bear ... was thinking that could be you.
Most if not all those pilots are either dead now, or very sick men because of the extreme doses of radiation they were exposed to. The radiation burned into all the film carried by photographers at the scene, that is why the motion picture and still photos had a strange appearance to them.
This is the most amazing, and the saddest thing I've ever seen. When those birds were flying I just cried. You conveyed so much with sand. You are incredibly talented, and I hope you keep doing these kinds of videos which raise awareness about these horrible events. Thank you so much!
This is the most amazing thing, I moved a lot with sand. You are incredibly talented, and I hope you continue to make these kinds of videos that raise awareness about these horrific events. Thank you very much! Best greetings from Iraq
i was watching this in class and this made me cry. its just so sad. we were studying the Chernobyl disaster in year 8 and it was so hard to study. thank you.
I have to hand it to you, Kseniya Simonova. few people have been able to turn a 50 year old veteran into a weeping, broken-hearted wreck like you just did. and you did it all with sand pictures. Excuse me while i go cry my eyes out.
December 2011 I became obsessed with Chernobyl and began to really research it. I was horrified by what I read. I give thanks to this artist for her power of art to bring humanity and the scope of the tragedy to life in such a way. It's the power of art to transform.
molodez kcenya. ochen vpechetlilo menya. i think you made it more than anyone has expected and you have touched everyone's harts at the end of it like you did mine. my uncle worked there after that happened and he was so shocked when he came back that he didnt even wanted to talk about it.
I remember very well when the news of the explosion reached the West. My father and myself have seen firsthand what lethal doses of radiation do to the human body, and the burns it inflicts inside and out upon anyone exposed to the extreme levels of radiation released by the explosion. It makes me uncomfortable to say the least that ten or eleven of these reactors are still in operation in Russia. I feel they are ticking time bombs for another serious, or worse nuclear accident. No news broadcast or documentary comes close to telling the human side of this tragedy as well as your work. Thank you Mrs. Simonova for this masterpiece of story telling, it is very moving to me. You have a truly unique and amazing talent and ability to reach people's hearts, and you made a major impression on mine.

Beautiful, anyone who isn't touched by this really doesn't have a heart.
Your drawings in the sand are beautiful. The tragedy will always be remembered and let those who died be remembered as well.

Best Sand Art by Kseniya Simonova
It's like a silent movie. The pictures convey more than a narrative ever could. You are amazing. God bless.

Oh, most beautiful art i ever seen in my life. That music and those pictures make me cry..RIP Chernobyl..
Kseniya, I adore your art and talent.. Best wishes and hope you continue the wonderful work.
Yeah. I cried. I'm a man, I'm 25 (born in 1986) and I cried. And I'm not ashamed to admit it.
Wonderful...
This video was lovely. Thank you Kseniya! Spacibo.

Hello from Canada. I agree with you..such a tragedy affects us all. God bless everyone!

It is a hell of a way to boil water.
Beautiful work my dear. We all wish you would have never had the reason to make this.
I cant watch it without tears
Yes, it does make one think a lot about the children whose lives were changed forever by this tragedy, which could have been avoided.
The first is "River Flows In You" by Yiruma, the second is "Hello" by Vitamin Quartet/Piano Series.
