Nick, we angels are so grateful of Angelina's family for such a great job managing her career. Angelina is a very rare talent and there is no need to rush her into superstardom. I was thrilled to attend both shows in Las Vegas. She sounds even better live.

Have you reacted to ANGELINA JORDAN 10 YEARS IN THE MAKING. Not only do I think you will love it but it shows a glimpse of her family dynamic. It's her official offering with her doing a voice over. Many snippets from the Vegas concert. In her doc. She says she always wants her family to be her SHIELD. You get the impression she's never alone. That it's the way she prefers it. Young people are more vulnerable when they do not want the oversight. So I do not think you need to worry. Watch her short doccumentary and see what you think.
The truth is......she really doesn't need any music for this song. :-)
AJs career is steered by her, with guidance from people who REALLY love her. She will be more than fine!

Great reaction, Nick. As to whether Angelina CAN/COULD take any belts to the next level in her performances in Las Vegas, I think we mostly know the answer already. However, the fact that she did 2 concerts back to back, performing a total of 38 songs, may have "forced" her to take a somewhat smoother sailing so to speak. She had to retain her voice for a good 5-6 hours. Still, not too many singers would have had the capacity and/or ability to follow her that night. If she so WANTED, I am fairly sure that she would blow our socks clean off, leaving us in awe like never before. That will happen, I know that for a fact. I can hear a lot of people say "but she already does..." and I obviously agree. I'm just saying that she has more in store that we have never heard, vocally speaking. A LOT more. She's still only 18 years old 🙂 Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥

Nick, I too worry about the effect on Angelina of the dark side of the music industry. But she has a very protective "Shield" around her made up of family & friends. Rob Christie at Republic Records is a true "Angel" & has been watching over her for the last 4 years since she signed with her label. Lots of powerful people in the music industry are well aware of Angelina & her immense talent. She is not some unknown singer looking for her big break & who might fall for some Music mogul saying "I can make you a star, baby." Her stardom is already rising & either Uncle Mike or Rob Christie would probably punch the guy in the nose. Just sayin'!!!

Her sub numbers show she has not passed the gate keepers of the music industry. Aka has not sold her soul. Soon enough she will have the fan base to bypass those demons and sing for the world on her terms.

I’ve never had a bucket list but when she came into my life, the only thing I wanted to do was see her live. I’ve been blessed to see her in Portsmouth and Vegas. She’s the Best IMHO and such an inspiration for all. If you want a gift, do a little research on her and you will find such joy it will change your life.

I agree with you completely, she couldn't have signed a better music contract. Rob loves music and he knows exactly what kind of diamond he has and her family would never allow her to fall under the wheels, I also believe that AJ was brought up with such good values that she is ruthless and stable within itself. I so agree with what you said about her being a young girl. I pray for her. When she first was turning up on UA-cam I would watch so many reactors and just loved most of them. But I will tell you what, I am getting really really bad feelings about a lot of them now. People who weren't on her stuff till recently. It's a totally different feel and I don't know what to do about it or how we can protect her on this side. Pry for her and her families protection. Praise God her family is with her and approving of everything she does. Trust me, Diddy isn't the only monster out there

As to your concerns about Angelina being so young you should watch the short documentary she released in her official UA-cam channel "Angelina Jordan - 10 Years in the Making" and you'll understand a lot about how she and her family have handle her being a professional singer/songwriter since she was a child.

Regarding her belting: She can belt just fine as you must have heard in some of her performances. The thing is that not all the songs should have belts in them. Subtleties, nuances, and use of different vocal resources are IMO much more interesting. Secondly, these were two shows back to back and perhaps she wanted to use those belts sparingly so she didn't force her voice.
You should watch her new documentary. Ten years in the making. You will love it. Then she came out with a new song Princess of Ruins. A song about why she doesn't wear shoes

😐❤. Yeah we get you. I guess the right thing to do is to keep an eye on each other and keep her safe as we can. To the greatest extent we can while still treating each other right and appreciating what's going on. I don't know, she hits like a truck, but she should be safe, she's got us all if someone breaks. When we see her, we'll mostly be together. We quite literally expect it. Odds come up eventually. Good reminder once in a while. They all face that stuff and she's a legit Siren. Anyone who can keep that in mind without ruining the vibe or their own experience, should feel right to do so IMO.
Totally agree. Angelina can sing better than many or most, out there right now. Even the big stars. There is a certain young star who currently has a special magazine issue devoted to her. The cover mentions “songs that touch us”, “her amazing rise” or something like that. She’s very good and I like her songs but I think Angelina can sing circles around her and pretty much everyone else. That magazine cover could easily apply to Angelina. Her music touches all of us in a special way. Hoping someday soon the rest of the world will discover her and she gets the recognition she deserves. Another reason is that I think Angelina is a much better role model than some of the other young singers out there.

What Jordon is doing is all mental interpretation of someone else's emotional reality .
I understand what you are saying, but my guess is that you are not a musician. Although many tend to romanticise, it is usually not the case that you feel a song more or deeper because you wrote it. At least not after the fifteenth time you perform it. 😊 Also, I don’t think most artists would rate many (if any) of their own songs among their favorites. Contrary to popular belief, you often «feel» the songs you choose to perform that were made by other artists more, specifically because you CHOOSE to perform them. Some cases in point: Jimi Hendrix doing Dylan, Stevie Ray Vaughan doing Hendrix, Janis Joplin doing Kris Kristofferson, Jennifer Warnes doing Leonard Cohen, and on and on …
I don’t think Angelina «feels» the song any less than Adele does, and Angelina is a huge Adele fan. When I prefer Angelina’s versions, it is because being a better singer in terms of technique, she is able to invoke more feelings in me. I guess that is why she is such a singer’s singer and musician’s musician. In one word: storytelling.
People should not be surprised when they hear Angelina perform heartfelt ballads originally sung
by Adele and actually improves them. Whereas Adele is a great singer, she is a 'Pop' vocalist at heart,
whereas Angelina sings ballads in the most emotion laden penetrating way possible and that is because
she is a true 'Jazz' specialist on a level with the great Billie Holiday and no genre of music can match
jazz when it comes to this type of song.

Angelina was the best female singer in the world, in my opinion, and has hopefully the potential to become a "superstar" in the future. Her voice is obviously developing, but she is not impressing me anymore as she used to do. The emotion, timbre, vibrato, the jazziness, the runs, the range and her amazing versatility was just out of this world. Is it all still there or has it gone into hiding? The beauty of her voice made this crazy world make sense and touched me profoundly. That was then though.
I'm still listening to her old songs, but everyday I desperately look out for a new video to be released that will bring me the old magic feeling back. Could it be that her childhood voice didn't survive the inevitable adolescence change? This has happened with so many other young talents. Or did something else change? I can see in the comments that some of you still love everything she's doing. Am I missing something here?
Guess this is a good illustration of how subjective music appreciation can be. For me, she IS the best female singer in the world. The emotion (this very performance), timbre (ditto), vibrato (ditto), jazziness (my funny valentine / Vegas), runs, range (unchained melody / Nobel tribute) are even better than before. I know some fans, perhaps yourself included, only want to hear her younger self/voice, but she is grown up now, and kittens don't stay kittens forever either. The older recordings will always be there to listen to. But I love her more recent performances (if her recent rendition of Unchained Melody in Oslo doesn't feel magical to you, I sincerely feel sorry for you) just as much as her younger ones , and can't wait to see what else she has in store as she continues to grow and experiment.
