While ago, early in my python learning days, I decided against using dataclasses in most cases cause it gave me trouble with inheritance and polymorphism. I also had some challenges dealing with frozen. Don't remember the exact issues right now, but may be it's possible to dig them up. Anyways, I am considering giving dataclasses a second shot.
